Mayweather's win over Dela Hoya is underrated

Mayweather's win over Dela Hoya is underrated.

Dela Hoya had been out of the ring for a while but look how impressively he fought against Mayorga and Floyd. Oscar gave Floyd a very close fight and some haters even thought it was close enough to make a case that he lost the fight.

Dela Hoya fought the best fight he could fight against Mayweather but he came up short even with the extra weight. Mayweather did not beat a prime Oscar but by no means was Oscar shot, he was still an excellent fighter.

The Oscar that fought so well against Mayweather would of given most guys at 154 a good fight.

It's not a bad win IMO... especially being at 154..

One of the biggest rip offs in boxing history.

          THE WORLD AWAITS.

Floyd: I am going to kill Oscar!

And these two fools did nothing more than play pitter pat for 12 rounds. The fight was as boring as getting kicked in the nuts.

Oscar was shot and Floyd should have destroyed that butt.

De La Hoya was a part time fighter and a shade of his former self when Mayweather fought him. The Mayorga fight gave some of us hope that he still had it but it was all smoke and mirrors.
I'd say De La Hoya peaked somewhere around 2002 and then went on his decline.
No way in hell that's a full 100% De La Hoya that Mayweather fought.

They fought the same Oscar & Pacquiao had a bigger weight disparity.
How is that a much better win?

Oscar at 154, and Oscar at 147... no difference. noted.

Mayweather should not have won that fight - ODLH was robbed.
