Cotto really needs to let that eye heal before getting into the ring with Pac, if it opens up against pac he will tear it up, huge disadvantage for Cotto.

I agree, that's why the fight makes more sense for November instead of October. That will give Cotto 1-1/2 month to completely heal and have 3 months of training, especially if Cotto will need to come down to 144lbs.

I am a Cotto fan, and let me say that the Cotto I saw tonite would get picked apart by Pacman. Yeah he had a cut on his eye but I did not see the Cotto who Stood toe to toe with SSM or the Cotto who made Judah quit or even the Cotto who for the first six rounds made Margarito look like an amateur. But all said and done if the fight with Pac gets made I will back Cotto 100%.

you are right, really right. I am a Cotto fan too, but the Cotto from now is not the same, Everybody keeps saying that he will beat Pac because of the size, ****, look at what happen to the bigger guys that fought Pac.....I am still backing Cotto a 100%

Cotto already has a victory against Mosley and Clottey, and fought them when nobody wanted to face them, and if he has the opportunity to land a big payday he should. Keep in mind that Pacman or PBF will present a bigger payday for Cotto than anybody else. Pacman is already talking about 2 more fights and stepping away from boxing, so this might be only shot at Pacman and if he wins there will be no other fight that people would want to see than PBF against Cotto (obviously if PBF wins also vs JMM).

Now if he losses he still has the rematch options out there to come back to, but after making some good money on the way.

Same as if Pacman losses to anybody soon, he will still have the option for a good fight with JMM III

That should be how Cotto's advisors should be looking as his next steps and use Mosley-Clottey as a hidden card under his sleeve to use it when he feels he needs it.

I don't blame Cotto for getting what he thinks will benefit him. Every fighter does that. I'm just saying that people's patience with favoratism toward him is running thin, including with me. He has gotten a 3 million dollar payday to fight Michael Jennigns of all people. What Cotto needs to do is give Shane Mosley a rematch in Vegas to crown a linear champ.

Well if that's the case Fanny Pac should fight the guys at 140 instead of getting WW's to drain.

He should make the same money....since he's supposed to be such a huge star.

i want to see another 'novelty' other than catchweight.
there is freddie's same day weigh in during fyt nyt.
and there's rehydration cap to limit the weight gain after weigh in.
say, weigh in at 147 but rehydrate to 152 max during fyt nyt.
manny as a natural lightwt will not be too small come fyt nyt.
