Pacquiao vs. Cotto is Eyed For November by Arum

Pound for Pound king Manny Pacquiao was one of the near 18,000 fans in attendance to watch Miguel Cotto retain his WBO welterweight title with a close split-decision win over Joshua Clottey at New York's Madison Square Garden. Top Rank's Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, would like to match Cotto and Pacquiao in November. [details]

Based on how Cotto looked tonight, it's not a bad idea. He didn't look his best tonight, and he showed 0 head movement. I think Pac would ko the cotto that fought tonight. It's an easy fight to make, pac would make a ton, would have a good chance at winning based on tonight, would win his 7th title in 7 weight classes. makes really good sense, making a potential pbf fight that much bigger. pbf could fight mosley, & then the winners fight.

Why November? Make it late September of early October... 3 months I think is enough to heal Cotto's cut..

If this fights happen, Roach already have a plan to beat Cotto. Roach will tell Pac to keep hitting Cotto by his eyebrows to cause a cut.

Cotto will finally get a chance to bully Pacquiao. The man beat Clottey with one freaking eye!

it's not the same. cotto would be bullying pac from round 1, pac is a small framed man. cotto would steamroll pacquiao in a couple of rounds, he would embarras him. Clottey is a really tough and rugged fighter, that's why no one can look good beating him. Cotto beat him with 1 eye.

Cotto by KO if this fight happens, there is a reason why Cotto was able to beat good and great boxers like Quintana, Judah, Mosley, and Clottey. Not to mention Cotto is probably the second hardest hitter in welterweight (behind Mosely).

This is an easier fight to make than the floyd-pac fight.
