I wouldn't have been upset if the fight was scored a draw. Or a Clottey win. It was close. Too close for Clottey to lay back the last three rounds. That cost him the victory. He has only himself to blame. You can't unseat a "hometown" champ that way.

I didn't see Cotto winning it 116-111. 114-113, yes.

I also think that a potential Pac-Cotto fight might have been derailed had the judges scored it for Clottey.

But very gutsy performance by Miguel, because Clottey is a beast WW with solid skills. No way he was going to quit because of the cut. The man is a warrior who fights legitimate threats (and that's how he earns my deepest respect as a fan).

Bob Arum will try to extend Miguel's contract with a Pacquiao fight.

you are from pr too. don't lie to yourself, cotto got a gift bro. if this fight was in vegas and not on the EVE OF THE PR PARADE, Clottey would have won. This is boxing not politics; I'm sick of good boxers getting robbed because of not being a big draw.

Not A Gift

It was a really close fight, but I had it 114-113 Cotto.
Clottey was fightin well, landing all those uppercuts and he was on his way to victory but he didn't close the job in 11&12 rounds givin Cotto the chance to box at the end. Instead he made a fool of himself with that low class actin. Cotto wasn't bitchin for the cut fightin like 9 rounds with it when it was really botherin him. I wouldn't like to see a rematch, Clottey deserves thou.
Now it's more possible a Cotto/Pac now that Pac knows Cotto can be beat.
By the way the Cottoslam is a nice move. Ha

Just rewatched just now. Clottey won 8 rnds. Last night i thought it was closer.

dude...the knockdown in the beginning won cotto the freaking fight, plus the combinations in the mid/late rounds.
