Margarito would be absolutely last on that list at that time
My point isn't about him not accepting it, but a simple point that calling out a fighter doesn't mean you're going to get the fight.

They simply refuse to accept it.

No, that what it would take to appease you. Floyd knew and knows damn well who Cotto is. All he would have to do is send a contract that was reasonable. Oh, but wait.........Floyd won't deal with Arum, right? That is unless its for a Pac fight. Funny how Floyd has changed his tune on that. Tell me.....since you know all about Floyd....when did Floyd and Arum come to a settlement either in or out of court that Floyd is willing to discuss a Pac fight, but wouldn't discuss Cotto or Margs just a couple of years ago?
Marg called-out Floyd to his face...true..but you conveniently forget to mention that Mayweather told him...TO HIS FACE...."Id be glad to beat you"
And remind me again when that fight happened. I mean t must have happened because Margs called him out.

Your are correct it does not guarentee a fight but it gets the ball rolling in the right direction. Perfect Example Marquez calling out Floyd Mayweather.

The post fight interview lets us know what direction the winner wants to go. He can either go on to a higher division, or stay in the same division and clean up.

If Marge REALLY wanted Floyd he would have dumped his WBO ****-strap and became Floyd's manditory.

You don't go from Keyvelos and Gomez to Mayweather and expect to win.

When SSM...Forrest...Mayorga...Spinks...Judah...Baldomi r...Mayweather...Were taking care of business..

Tony was hiding in the relative safety of WBO land...fighting the likes of Hercules Keyvelos....Sebastian Lujuan(3 year rookie at the time)...and Manuel Gomez..

Margarito could have JOINED THEM simply by tossing that sorry ass WBO trinket.

              EXACTLY..

              Among fighters

              The post-fight call-out means EVERYTHING.

That wont happen because Marquez and judah and baldomir are all better draws than Cotto. No one knows Cotto. he doesn't bring any money, he dont have any skills. "hes the guy that got beat by margarito who got beat by mosley and these guys all beat each other but none beat maywather" you know duh ...

Cotto has stated that he would love Mayweather fight many times. His actions by taking on the best 147 has to offer is as clear an indicator of what direction he wants to go as any.

Let me flip the script for a second here. What is more appealing to you, as a boxing fan.....Cotto being respectful, yet taking on the best at 147 time and again? Or Floyd saying he'll fight anybody, yet we're still waiting for that to happen after more than 3 years? As a fan of the SPORT, I'll take hat Cotto does over what Floyd does any day.

Why dump a belt when you can unify two? Nice job answering my other question. I KNEW you wouldn't be able to.

You have to dump the WBO if you want to be ranked by the other sanctioning bodies.

                      I thought you knew that.

They take you off the ranking when you have the WBO.
