Exactly, that's how some of these folks think.

Truth is, Eddie Futch, one of the greatest trainers in the world from Michigan, trained 3 of the 4 fighters to defeat Ali. Futch said that Louis was the best heavyweight he has seen. Freddie Roach, the student of Futch, said Louis was the greatest textbook fighter he has seen.

Louis knocks Ali the *** out.

This poll is hilarious. 90% of the fools voting for Ali probably picked Pavlik to defeat Hopkins. If people can't predict a fight between two current fighters, why does anyone think a poll of two past ATG's would be worth the server space it was stored on.

Ali was KTFO by a fighter with half the skills or power of a prime Joe Louis.

Young Ali who months later beat Sonny Liston.

I was just pointing out how silly it is to bring up Louis struggling to beat a light heavyweight champion (whom he eventually KO'd) when Ali himself struggled with worse light heavyweights.

          No he wasn't.

What LH's did Ali struggle with worse than Conn? None that I know of.

I think Ali would have been too fast and too mobile for Louis, talking about a prime or close to prime Ali when he fought Cleveland Williams.

Ali by KO in round 10.

Louis is to slow of foot and at a reach disadvantage to deal with a prime Ali. I personally think this is the perfect matchup for Ali.
