lol you are such a hater tua. so let me get this straight. just because marquez hadnt fought pacquiao 2x and hadnt had a trilogy with barrera or morales, the man was in his prime? dude, you amaze me sometimes on how your constantly on these forums but show that you are on a level 6(at most) of boxing knowledge. it was...past his prime barrera vs past his prime marquez, get over it.

marquez was not past his prime.

      when was marquez's prime then?

please......don't try to make the barrera win seem better than it was by justifying it by saying both guys were past their prime.

Since you didnt have a "Barrera was out of his prime" option, I chose "other." Only a true jackass with no boxing knowledge could think Marco was prime in that fight. Seriously, hang yourselves,

Barrera was definitely not in his prime but neither was Marquez, Marquez was closer to his prime than Barrera. Marquez would have given Barrera trouble at any point of their careers.

yes mr. pink, when was marquez's prime? the guy seems to be past his prime when he fought juarez, then suddenly he's back to his prime again despite that hairline lose against manny pacquiao.

              Barrera underestimated Pac.

He was all time high and Pac was just a pass through for him but never expected his punchs to comes so quick and strong.

Barrera is a very tough fight. Marquez sometimes tend to lose focus in the fight and Barrera is a type of fight who knows how to make a person lose his rythme.

I will go with Barrera UD Marquez.

The fight was fairly close it +-1 point win or a draw

i think he's on the downside now.

hard to tell. it could just be that he doesn't look good at 135.

all i know is he didn't look too sharp against casa and diaz even though he ktfo both of them.

He was, but that boxing style he adopted helped him once again. Plus Marquez seemed tentitive in that fight bein that it was his first major fight against a fellow country-men, when Barrera looked like he wanted to rip Marquez' head off from the start lol. Barrera's been in that situation before with Morales. But ultimately, Marquez was able to touch up Barrera fluidly. Marco always gets touched up by fighters like Marquez though. Marco's always stood straight up like a totem poll in his fights, he always would get caught standin straight up until he started boxing more. That's how Junior Jones touched him up and that's how Morales touched him up.

Prime for Prime, I think Marquez was stronger then him though. I downloaded a grip of old Marquez fights and his hands were ridiculous. Marquez only real flaw when he was younger was when it looked like he tried to stay in there too long usin his hand speed, tryin to get off those unnecessary extra shots. Kinda like what Oscar was doin in the first Mosley fight, but not nearly as bad as that.

MAB was fine in that fight, tho he was no longer in his prime imo.

I still would've favored Juanita over MAB in their primes, but, MAB would've had a better shot at beating Juanita in their primes.

And no, I did not think that the fight was close at all, my scorecards were pretty close to how the judges had it.

The one thing that really surprised me about their fight was how even on the inside Juanita was beating MAB at his own game, that was crazy to see.
