Of course Barrera was out of his prime when he fought with Marquez. If not, you also have to contend with JMM fans who blindly insists that Pac-Barrera1 was not a prime Barrera, which was before or after the Morales-Barrera1&2.

i think MAB would have gotten marquez prime vs prime. its a shame morales & mab didnt give jmm a chance when they were in their prime. it could have been a mini 4 kings featherweight version a la duran, lenoard, hearns,& hagler.

It still is only EM vs JMM is missing.

How in the hell did you have Barrera winning that fight? I don't understand how anyone could have scored it for him, and I love Barrera. He was my favourite fighter at that time and I was still sad he lost.

I am a big JMM fan, and I respect him by showing balls moving up in weight to fight Mayweather. But even before than, he lost a little bit of points in my book by expressing interest in fighting Erik Morales when this fight with Floyd was in negotiations. Like you say though, it would have been a good fight prime-for-prime. I just don't understand why JMM would be interested in fighting Erik Morales now. That's a Floyd move right there. Ha ha ha. And the other funny thing is, is that Morales actually wants to fight JMM now.

exactly brah. I think EM doesnt like the fact that he's the missing link in that great featherweight era. pac, jmm, mab all fought each other. EM feels left out & it would be great if they do & he gets a chance at that 4th division title.

But how could someone think that Morales could be competitive with JMM at this stage? I don't see it.

im not saying he would be competitive, but its a pay day if your morales & it completes the 4 first ballot hall of fame featherweights match ups with one another.

The fight was still competitive despite what the scorecards read although Barrera has been showing signs of decline.

If Morales wants a payday he can always fight someone that's a lot more beatable like Khan. I think Morales would get destroyed by Marquez at this point.
