this is one of the BEST articles i've read here on boxingscene......Gossen did a great job of expressing himself without resorting to name calling, although it must be very very frustrating for him to do his job as a promoter when no one wishes to face your client.......

Mosley, doesn't have a dance partner at all, the only guy willing to face him right now and who happens to be available to do so is PAUL WILLIAMS......With that said, Mosley better hope and pray the Clottey beats Cotto, so he'll have someone else to call out to fight, I'm sure if Clottey wins, Mosley's name will be the 1st name he utters......

So Shane should just make the fight with Paul Williams....All he's doing now is just sitting and hoping that he can lure PBF or Pac-Man into a fight and bothof them really aren't interested in a fight with him.....so Shane needs to move on.......and btw why how is it that the WBA hasn't made any noise about Shane defending the title? Isn't there a mandatory?

Come on man, this is the type of mentality that is making boxing lame. I know Quintana is a C class fighter. But I also view Vernon Forrest as one too and Shane is 0-2 against him. I don't give a **** about how many PPVs such and such guy sells or how many tickets he sells at the gate. I actually think those type of fighters are overrated when you stop to think about it. I certainly don't view Gatti or Hatton as elite fighters.

cosign......fact of the matter is, shane and PW only do business in southern california, so a fight between them two, in s. cali, would be a great event. shane is chasing fights w/ guys that don't wanna fight him......the best way to lure floyd into the ring would be to fight and beat a guy that every welter is avoiding. if shane were to beat PW (which he won't) i could logically see him getting a fight w/ floyd after floyd is done with jmm & pacman. as of right now, the only options shane has got is berto and the winner of clottey-cotto, and as somebody already stated, i doubt shane makes more in either of those fights than he does for fighting PW.

i don't like paul williams. Oscar can pull the trigger at 150 and spank his ass. i truely believe oscar can beat williams. that way oscar can go back in retirement feeling good about himself and his career. williams would not turn down the fight....no way.
