Simply put, paul williams is the most feared man in boxing

How can he not be? He will fight anyone at 147, 154, 160, 168. He is a freak of a man. His arms are like propellers on a helicopter. He doesn't care about titles. He wants names. He wants fights. Someone fight him.

Shane has plenty of sense and he knows PW is a true threat. On the flip side, he should take it, if he wins he is much better positioned to negotiate on other fights in the future.

I've always thought Shane is a stand-up guy and I will still believe that even if he decides not to fight Williams. But even still, he needs to take a meaningful fight or just retire. Hopkins and Mosley are holding the 175 and 147 lb divisions hostage when you stop to think about it. Even though I think Hopkins would beat Dawson, I still don't like how ESPN and Ring continues to rank him without him showing an interest in fighting someone meaningful. The same should apply to Mosley as well. And I don't view Pacquiao as a fight that brings clarity to 147.

I don't think so cause he'd lose that fight.

Yeah right, Martinz keeps his hands down way to much to beat Williams

Shane Mosley hasn't ducked anybody in his career. I have to give the guy credit for having balls of clank. But I think his attitude has probably changed a tad bit, because he knows he's toward the end of his career and he needs to secure his future after boxing. And I can't fault him for that. In fact, that's why I won't be mad at him if he passes up on this fight, even though I want to see it really bad. I don't view the fight as a lock for Williams, because Shane absolutely obliterated Margarito like it was nothing, and Paul went life and death with him. Plus, you've gotta ask yourself how drained Williams will be if he decides to come back down to 147. Despite all that, Mosley is doing the same thing that Margarito was doing up to a certain extent. The only difference is that Mosley doesn't have a loss to avenge to Williams like Margarito did. But he is doing the same thing really by chasing a smaller guy like Pacquiao instead of focusing on his own division. I was an admirer of Margarito because I viewed him as a blue collar, take on all comers type fighter, but that changed when I heard him say things like he had no score to settle with Paul Williams and that he would gladly fight Manny Pacquiao. Mosley does have a score to settle with Paul if he decides not to fight the Cotto-Clottey winner or else the Welterweight championship will remain vacant.

                Mosley vs Paul Williams

I agreed with Goossen and clearly see that even Richard Schaefer and Golden Boy don't believe in Mosley. They know that Mosley can't do anything against Paul Williams. This is the only truth and reason why they (Mosley and Golden Boy) won't take this fight. Fighters can't go on claiming to be the best if they won't fight the best. My respects to Paul Williams, who has gone up and down different weight classes chasing after opponents, and proving he is the real thing.

but he's fast and always moving which would be a nightmare for pwilly. the last guy that moued well and countered was quintana. and what happened? a boxing lesson taught by quintana and learned the hard way by pwilly. oh and martinez is better than quintana.
