I think that this is the best thing wlad can do. People have been complaining about not having a true Heavyweight Champion of the world for years now so i don't see why anyone would be against this fight. Haye will just have to become a mandatory now or hope vitali will fight him which if he would just fight maskaev and get it out of the way then he can.

Moments ago, manager Shelly Finkel informed BoxingScene.com that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has decided to fight undefeated Ruslan Chagaev on June 20 at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Klitschko had been scheduled to fight David Haye who withdrew a few days ago with a back injury. HBO has passed on the fight, several television options [for America] are being explored as we speak. Well this is good news the way I see it. A chance for Wlad to capture the WBA title too giving the Klit brothers all the major belts....That is of course if the WBA title is on the line because of the debacle that went on with Valuev/Chagaev. But if it is....And Wlad won if would force Valuev to fight Wlad because of his stake in the WBA title too.....

This is why boxing has become what it has. We have a bunch of people who DON'T want to see a linear champion get crowned on June 20th but would rather see Wlad fight loudmouth David Haye who has NOTHING at heavyweight. ZERO.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. I believe the WK vs DH is still going to happen...he's just going to have to wait now. I mean a back injury is serious in any profession you are in but how is it going to be that much better in 3 weeks than it is now? I dont know whats in a mans heart but i think he wanted to back out of the fight and only said he'll be ready in 3 weeks to save face. But dont think I'm hating on Haye I wanted to see how he fared against Wlad.
