Wlad has never fought in a huge football stadium before, but unlike Haye, he has sold out every venue he's fought during the past few years.

He will be ****ing esctatic that he's found a way out of this fight. I expected him to beat Haye soundly but he never wanted any of him.
Haye was not a mandatory, it was going to be a voluntary defence. Wlad chose to fight Haye. Nobody was making him do it.
Remind me, who pulled out of the fight again?
Some of you people are really ******.Last edited by TheManchine; 06-05-2009, 09:47 PM.

Anyone know if this will be on Setanta?
Firstly they said it was a hand injury and now it's a back injury? Seems like they don't even know.

His doctors said he wouldn't be ready until July 25th at the earliest. Read boxingscene's front page article:

My point is, some people just don't give a **** about the heavyweight division. Klitschko-Changaev is more consequential for the division, and probably boxing as a whole. You can dispute if Ruslan belongs in the spot he is, with the belt he has, and the ranking and esteem he posseses, but that's the division's fault- not Klitschko's.
The fact is, Wladimir is fighting the best opponent, on paper, that is available. Haye, while I'd like to see him fight Klitschko, hasn't proven where he stands at the weight and it was a fight which had anticipation based not on likelihood so much as speculation; how was Haye going to look?
It's pointless to argue with anyone calling Wladimir a ***** for fighting Changev when he wasn't even the one who backed out of the scheduled fight date, because obviously the Haye fight can still happen at a later date and mean more if Haye doesn't display he's too small for the weight and that the Klitschko fight was pointless.
The best fight for history, the respect of his achievement outside the boxing elite's knowledge, and his overall career is obviously to take the WBA heavyweight championship. There should never be an arguement over unification in my eyes; despite how weak you argue the champion is. Having one, undisputed beast in a weight class only helps clear things up for the division and its obvious Klitschko is still in need of gaining fan support.
