if you have watched some of clottey's fights then u would realize that he is a beast..that man has a head like a dam tank..he hasnt even been hurt in a fight by another boxer except when he has hurt his hands on their face..cotto is NOT going to knock him out..PERIOD..if cotto can manage to keep cotto at bay and box him all night at a distance..then he can win a close decision..if he cant kepp clottey off him, then he's in for a long night in clottey's favor..Clottey's tight defense coupled with good countering ability and accurate uppercutts on the inside will pose a lot of problems for cotto throughout the fight..expect cotto to bleed a lot from the mouth and nose..the only way i see clottey losing this fight is if he isnt as active as he needs to be, then he will get out pointed against the homefield advantage in the garden..how cotto incorporates the jab throughout the fight will determine the outcome...i have it for clottey in the championchip rounds by tko...

What a lot of people are forgetting is that Miguel Cotto is not
known for his superior boxing skills, he's known for his aggression
and power. It's not like he is going to be putting on a boxing clinic
or something. He is going to have to bring the fight to Clottey to
get a victory and Joshua is a durable guy. I haven't seen Cotto
hurt any elite welterweight with his power since his fight with
Quintana and that's whatever. He hasn't hurt Mosley or Margarito
& Clottey wasn't even stopped by Margarito injured. I don't see
why some are saying that Cotto will TKO Clottey? I don't see it
happening at all. I think the durability of Clottey is going to wear
down Cotto in the later rounds. Once Cotto sees that he can't
out pressure or hurt Clottey the tables will turn from him being
a boxer to a brawler which is going to give the edge to Clottey.
This fight is something I've been waiting for since announced.
And please, no excuses when Cotto loses because if he wins
you want hear none from this side if it's legit and the judges
              don't trip.

Well, make sure you get a meal from the homeless shelter because
Clottey is going to beat Cotto.

people are trippin to think that cotto has this fight in the bag..Cotto's boxing prowess isnt all that great..he is still there to be hit..his footwork aint all that and his D is still shakey at times..Clottey can take this fight with his quick hands and underestimated inside fighting ability..i see cotto getting on his bicycle in the middle rounds after he realizes that clottey isnt going anywhere..and will then try to win the decision on points..however..clottey can pull it out if he stays busy thru the fight and finishes strong..expect cotto to bleed..and expect clottey to use his head..literally...

Good analysis! I am baffled the same as you for people thinking
this is an easy fight for Miguel Cotto? I just don't see him in a
easy match up. Clottey is more durable and defensive than
Cotto and frankly I don't see Clottey getting hurt in this fight
                      at all.
