Don't understand why people think cottto can win. Cotto haven't win convincingly over any real welter fighter if he has fight any. His only true welter opponents where margarito and we all know the consequences and moesley who to many won the fight. Clottey is a true welter taht compares to te true welter fighters like leonard, hagler, hears. Cotto is just to small, shubbie, short hands to contest against a good welter like Clottey.

I am picking Cotto to beat Clottey. He needs to or else his fans need to go slit their rists for talking about how Cotto is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Clottey isn't an A-level fighter like a lot of people make him out to be. The guy's will is just broken too easily in my view. In his fight with Corrales he had a lower workrate and Diego just couldn't carry any power from 135 to 147. If that had been a harder puncher Clottey was in with that had a sturdier chin Clottey likely would've lost in my view. All Cotto needs to do is make his punches count and have a higher workrate. He doesn't even have to score a stoppage because he is fighting at MSG. If Clottey was elite he would've finished the boxing exhibition he was administering to Margarito. You don't totally fold up and fight the fight in a passive mode if you have a bruised knuckle. Don't get me wrong, I think Clottey is a good fighter. But that's where it ends.

It isn't proven Zab Judah is washed up. I think people say this because Zab is lazy and doesn't always train, but miguel has taken way more punishment then Zab throughout his career.

Now Clottey is elite because he took out Zab in an intriguing entertaining fight. His skills are obviously there, against Margarito he was impressive beating up the big man til he injured himself...Thats elite. He stood toe to toe and was winning. Cotto ran and lost. Against Zab, Cotto nearly got knocked out in the first round and had to cheat to win. CLottey against Zab punished him how cotto did, minus the nearly getting knocked out and the cheating. It was a clean fight.

So they do have things on their resume you can compare. Also I think Zab looked better against Clottey then he did against Cotto.Zab was laid off from figthing for a year when he fought Cotto and took the fight which was a mainevent ppv fight without getting any rounds in before. When he fought Clottey he came off of two wins against Ryan Davis and Edwin Vasquez. So In my opinion Clottey took out a better Zab than Miguel. Thats my opinion

First off, Zab wasn't even close to knocking out Cotto, At best he briefly stunned him and that was with the hardest punches he could have possibly thrown and at a time when Zab was considered to have power. Secondly,there is no way in hell that Clottey faced a better Zab than Cotto did. That's just nonsense. In addition, even if the low blows never happened the outcome of that fight would not have changed.
