It looks as if that's what Wlad will do, and it's understandable that Wlad wants to fight on the original date; but I don't see how any genuine fan of the sport of boxing could actually prefer him to cancel it, unless you're just a hater. Ali-Foreman was postponed for a few weeks due to an injury, and no one argued at that time that it would have been better to cancel it. This fight has generated more interest than any Heavyweight fight has since Lewis retired, and has sold more tickets than any fight in Europe has since World War II. How can it be bad for boxing to postpone it for only three weeks?

Chagaev is a good and credible replacement, plus it would be for the Ring belt and the lineal title; but nevertheless, I don't understand how any true boxing fan could say they would actually prefer him not to postpone the fight by only three weeks, when it has generated so much interest in the Heavyweight scene and in the sport.

I hope Wlad waits but wouldn't blame him if he didn't since he is only getting older by the day and has already had alot of professional fights.

I'm sure that Haye is more worried about missing out on MILLIONS of pounds and the biggest payday of his entire career than he is worried about the prospect of taking a punch to the head that knocks him out for a few seconds.
I totally agree with you.like haye or valuev would give away millions for nothing.I may not be a fan of the klitoris sisters but I watch all their fights but INJURIES happen & I know 2 people who had hepatitis b & were cured but it put a real drain on their families so I back valuev on his hep scare.he also lost 2.8 million US for his fight cancellation.haye is no dumby & you all saw 10guys lined up to fight wlad on short notice.if I'm haye I'd fight in July or wait.if he's good to go in July let's get it on,if it's chagaev so be it but I'd rather see my chicken eating hero give up 15" in reach & talk some smack for 3 weeks until he faces the inevidable beating he'll take.haye will be ready in 3weeks or he may be out of a very life altering payday.

Hopefully Haye recovers from his injury soon enough so this fights back on in July?

This fight will happen eventually IMO.

its not your fault Haye...Thompson is really just that good. now man up and fight Wladimir.

                      A liitle mouse

I find it very weird that the Haye back injury appeared right after Wladimir announced he would punish Haye for his antics during the PR campaign.

I 'm very leary of "BACK INJURIES" because several have used them to cancel fights then appear elsewhere a month later.

Joe Mesi suddenly had a back injury in 2007 and pulled out of his bout with Tank Williams. A week or so later it was announced he had signed a new deal with CES boxing. Not bad for a guy in a Doctors care. Cancel a fight and get a new promoter.

Back and neck injuries according to the insurance companies are the most phony injuries reported and the easiest to get past a doctor due to soft tissure damage being difficult to spot in tests.

                      Reminds me of a story.

"A little mouse was going thru the forrest roaring like a lion and all the wee creatures in the forest would jump and flee, when the little mouse attempted to scare a real lion, the lion turned roared and the mouse slipped a disc trying to escape"
