Ok, Marquez was drained at the lower weights and was moving up anyway, knocked out back to back champs who had never been knocked out in his first two fights at higher weight, he doesnt even belong at lightweight and should have been there and above a long time ago.

Wasn't JMM 142 against Diaz, no one is forcing JMM to hit the scales at 144. He can hit the scales at 137-138 and come into the ring weighing 142.

he has to come in at 140-144 for the fight. it's a welterweight at a catchweight

People are putting too much emphasis on that. Sad thing is, boxing is demanding Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Guess Mayweather is gonna get alot of **** still.

And the **** he gets will be deserved unless he cleans up welter.Only Floyd could come out one week saying he has a hit list with all the top fighters on,and then next week start crossing names off of it because the williams,moseleys and cottos of this world have not yet established themselves at floydweight,

I understand this, but its still all about money instead of proving you are the best in your own division. Floyd was given a pass to make money in the Oscar fight and didn't take on a top welter afterwards. He was given a pass for the Hatton fight and didn't take on a top welter after that. Now he's being given more passes to make money fights instead of proving who the best fighter at 147 is. Im all for a fighter making money. But Im against greed at the expense of the toughest challenges. Call me crazy, but thats just the way I see it.

A win over Pacquiao is legacy enhancing. SRL, Duran or Hearns didn't prove to be the best in every division they faught in, why is it such a big deal for Mayweather to? Again, I still believe people should judge him after Pacquiao.

he is? is that why he struggled against casamayor and got rock and wobbled against a good but feather fisted diaz?

he didn't dominate at 135, just struggled. now up the weight and quality/skills/power of the opponent and draw a picture of what's going to happen

Nobody is going to make them do anything, just like nobody is making JMM go up for Floyd. But is historicly tougher for a smaller guy to beat a bigger guy than vice versa. That isn't even arguable.

and like I said, nobody forced Oscar to come in at the same weight the day after the weigh in.

Unfortunately that comes with the territory of being Pound for Pound, you can move through multiple weights trying to meet every fighter's demands, its a gift and a curse.
