As for his career and the barrera loss. He was physically in his prime but mentally he wasn't due to his lost of love for the sport and his attitude. Emmanuel Steward, who trained him for the barrera fight, threatened to walk out due to him refusing to train for the fight. He just got lazy, didnt work hard due to him having a big head and severly underestimating his opponents.

The saddest part was that as I mentioned earlier, HBO put a lot behind him. He had a lot of big time fights lined up for him that would have made him the greatest FW of alltime and a legendary fighter. He had Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao, Barrera, Gainer, Tapia, Sanchez, Ayala and a few other big name fights on the plate but by that time he no longer cared about boxing. If he would have stayed with the ingles and stayed focus he could have beaten all of those guys and thats real talk. Most people will disagree but in the barrera fight barrera fought about as safe as I have ever seen him fight due to his fear of Naz power. I kept saying, along with the HBO commentater, and emmanuel stewart, that if he would have atleast through a simple combo he would have KO'D barrera because everytime Hamed hit him he would freeze up. That fight shouldnt have even been close.

Hamed was the bomb....................a little bit eccentric and ****y.............but he did bring attention to the lower weights...................i do agree he had a chance with some elite featherweight..................but his heart wasnt and work ethics was something to consider...............a bit unproven against topnotch opposition...............

Still think he may have had untapped potential and could have been even better if things were different, but that's the way things are. As a fighter you have to want to be better and be the best. You have to train hard and you have to go out of your way to find the training necessary to continue to get better. Some of it was thinking he was already the best and coasting on his natural talent; especialy when he got fame and fortune.

Still one of the best raw talents I've seen in my life-time.

                That put it best.

His raw talent put him at the top. His dedication was his downfall. He himself must have fought he was invincible not to be taking huge fights such as MAB seriously. His natural talent was great, but he could have been much better.

Still one of my favourites though. He brought a lot of interest to the lower weight divisions.

And damn this dude was fast as hell, i know he got beat by Barrera by UD but i heard that wasn't prime nas or he was unfocused and MB got him at a good time. The guy looks entertaining to say the least sort of reminded me of Roy Jones. How does he fare against the likes of Pac, Barrera, Morales (prime)
He's a good fighter. a level below the likes of Morales and barrera.

If you look back, even as a kid he had tools.

He was a gifted kid and he never really trained hard. Like others have said before me, he was just going on about his business in the ring based on his talent.

The video shows Naz was the same then when he was 15/16 as he was in his in his late 20's nothing really changed.

No one can say this kid was boring. No one!

The only other prince of boxing that was able to entertain like Naz was Paez Sr. who was known as the Clown Prince of Boxing. Both very fun to watch and you can bet I have a grip of their fights. That is entertainment worth keeping and saving
