They are 'unofficial' as in, not the weigh-in day stats. Those are 'official', ie. the weight the fight is supposed to take place at.

That doesn't mean the fight night weights given by HBO are not accurate or dependable. It's just terminology.

Lederman's scorecard is subjective. What comes off a scale isn't.

            Lol. You're a joke.

Can you say for sure that:

The fighters don't drink 2 pints of water before stepping on the scale?

They don't put a golden chain up their butt?

They are weighing in shoeless and clothesless?

The unofficial scale is accurate in both dressingrooms?

The conditions are the same for both fighters?

Of course you cannot. The unofficial weigh-in is just that. UNofficial and can only give a rough estimate for what the fighters weigh when they enter the ring in battle-dress.

The only way that a fighter's weight can be really misleading on the night of the fight is if they're wearing clothes when they get on the scale, which has happened before, which adds at least 2 pounds, sometimes more if they have things in their pockets.
At last, some coherent sense from one of the 'good guys'. Thank-you.

I think we should have a more 'official' record of fight night weights, yeah.
But the nitpicking over possible variables in unofficial weights by *******s like BattlingNelson is ridiculous, when there are fighters who establish a consistent trend of blowing up significantly for every fight night. And fighters who establish a consistent trend of not blowing up near as much for every fight night.

Anyone who can't look at 2 fighters in a ring and be able to perceive (or KNOW) when one has gained significantly more than the other since weigh-in, shouldn't be talking about this.

Mate do you even realize how silly the " what if argument is " in this ,,,,, its about as strong as saying dont believe offical weight because somebody might have doctored the scales ,,,,, I think the board reading all this knows you have nothing to back you up in any way , even you know you have nothing other wise you would offer it ,,,, Im trying to see where you are coming from but for me the " what if " doesnt over ride what we do know , and we do know a lot of known facts , you can dispute them all you like , but with no evidence your only blowing hot air .

This is a guy who said the size difference between Marquez and Mayweather was comparable to the difference between Mayweather and Pavlik. That's where he's coming from.
This line he's playing suits the trip he's on - and some people are not willing to give an inch to reason in the duty of defending these little trips they get on.
