    for people who crticize calzaghe

"floyd fought in 5 divisions, calzaghe only fought in 2..."

did you know calzaghe won 3 ABA titles as an amatuer in 3 different weight classes, welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight? he was fighting full grown men too. he's the only fighter ever to do that.

he also came across american middleweight champion chris byrd and knocked him out and we all know about chris. calzaghe was robbed of going to the olympics because he wouldnt fight in some remote place for one time when the board knew full well he would have destroyed the guy sent instead representing the UK.

As good as his amateur career is - It' means nothing as far as judging his pro career goes.

Amateur and Pro is different. Never got the details on the win over Byrd so if you have an article that would be nice. Video would be amazing but I'm not sure there is one available. But beating Byrd at that time isn't the same as beating what he became.

Floyd was a kid as well and even moved up from 106...which happens when you are young and in the amateur system. And then when Floyd turned pro he continued to move up.

Calzaghe is a HOF fighter...what else would you like exactly?

i believe he said it in his autobiography but there's many links on the subject, calzaghe would have been 20 at the time and byrd 22.

Shame on them. It doesn't prove your point though.
