Dawson signed a two fight contract with HBO....they turned down a Cloud fight. What do you want him to do? He was contractually obligated to fight Tarver again, was that not a defens?. Dawson/Johnson is the biggest fight in the division outside of Hopkins/Dawson which we know aint happening. And Dawson vacated!!! Cloud is getting his chance, it's not like Dawson's squatting on it.

I don't get the backlash for this. Everyone was bitching that Dawson needs to rematch Johnson so seriously wtf? No one wants to see Cloud/Dawson and if Cloud is worth a **** he will get a fight with Dawson down the road. I don't think Dawson can beat either Cloud or Johnson if everybody wants my honest opinion. I just think Glen deserves the shot more obviously because there's already an established rivalry and the powers that be hung him out to dry up until now. So I don't blame Chad for letting Tavoris fight for his strap. Maybe if the judges gift him another decision against Johnson like last time then Tavoris will be in the driver's seat. Cloud will have a belt and be a lot more wanted by the TV networks after how much HBO realized they wasted their money on Chad. You think Dawson would have stopped Julio Gonzalez.
