I guess it is just going to have to be accepted that Dawson will never get any credit on here. In one post people are calling him a coward for ducking a Johnson rematch and then he signs to fight him and people say that he is fighting old, shot fighters. Same old, same old.

In order for boxing to get bigger, the politics and organization surrounding it needs to get smaller. Moves like this make that dream a reality. Props to Chad Dawson for giving the fight that fans wanted to see and sticking it to the organizations and the IBF. Boxing would be a better place if there were more fighters like Chad Dawson.

danc..i am a dawson fan..i dont hate dawson..he is p4p the most skilled boxer in the game if you ask me..but you have to mix in mandotories inbetween the big fights..4 fights in a row with the same 2 40 year olds is bull**** danc....dawson can be great but

shouldve been an immediate rematch..hes fighing johnson cause joe retired and hopkins wont fight him..other than that he never wouldve fought johnson again
