This is my responce from another thread about the exact same article, what I say applies to all types of negotiations not just boxing.
Well they have not even started negotiating, you expect Floyd to play as if he has a weak hand?
When you negotiate you usually start of with demands well above what you expect, because there is no reason not to because you can always fall back to accepting less. If you start out asking for less you will never get more, this is a really simple concept, it is all just talk now anyways.Comment

If Mayweather/Pacquiao doesnt happen because they cant agree on the money split am pretty sure both would move on to Mosley and Cotto.
And am pretty sure either Mosley or Cotto would prefer to fight Mayweather because they would make more money fighting Mayweather than fighting Pacqiuao and they Know they fight would happen at 147 instead of the coming down to 142 like Roach want them to.Comment

no double standard its just some fights some people dont get the higher percentage. pacman should get 60/40 against floyd but floyd should get the high against everybody else. imo floyd is being a **** for saying pacman aint even getting 50/50. he wants 60/40 & he int in the position for that right not.Comment

If you read the article that that poster said... it didn't have the word retire in it. Floyd only said in that article that the plan was if Hatton beats Pacquiao, he beats JMM and they both face each other in a huge money fight in the UK... the word retire, wasn't in the article. The TS just added it in the title for some reason.Comment

Arum said, in recent articles that if they fight, Pacquiao needs the lions share... Floyd says he deserves the lions share, it is all negotiations... they go in making high demands in order to get the most out of it they possibly can.
Both fighting each other will generate more money than any other fight, Floyd and Pacquiao can earn loads fighting others but not as much fighting each other... 50/50 is fair, but they will go in making demands to get as much as they can... can you blame them?Comment

Floyd's the man in this.Cotto & Mosley wont come down to 142 so Manny is desperate to get Floyd because there isnt much difference in weight and also that's where Manny will get the most money.
There is no way Manny is going to get more than Floyd simple that wont happen,he's not worth it and he doesnt deserve it.Numbers just do not lie and so Floyd is worth more.
Floyd wont even be played like Hatton who waited for 2 months to get the contract signed. He has already called Mosley and he will quickly move on.Floyd knows Cotto is going to be a free agent next year he can fight Mosley now,Cotto next year and still make big purses.Comment

few key points from an interview on fighthype
floyd says "no way in hell paquiao is getting 50/50 it has to be 60/40 in his favor."
"he sold more ppv with brass boy & get hitman than pacman"
"he moving shane down on his hit list since he is being disrespectful"
"he made more money in his last to fights than shane made his whole career & shane shouldnt be talking bout money with him"
if this is the case we can kiss pacmn/floyd fight good bye.
if he moved shane down on the hit list & he aint settling for 60/40 & 50/50 against pacman, who will he fight next?
is this premature ducking excuses?
the interview is on fighthype i wish i could post the link but im posting from my phone & it cant do attachments.Comment
