I wish I knew JMM was capable of that, I would have never put money on Diaz, atleast I had come to grips with the fact that my money was lost at that point anyways, so it was easy to swallow being wrong and jsut enjoy the knockout.Comment

I feel 'ya ; hell, I'm a Chico fan too. I shed some tears when dude passed away, and I still think about him anytime I think about boxing.
But you can't really blame Clottey for that. He had a job to do, and he did it.
I understand though ; I haven't been able to watch that fight since the night I watched it live.
As for Cotto ; he should be able to win the decision.
When it comes to 147 right now, I don't give a **** what anybody says ; Cotto is the best out there.
Say what you want about Margarito, but that loss is now suspect. And Cotto's skillset is only matched by Mosley's at 147.
Floyd ain't even in the picture because he's sizing up guys like Marquez and Pacquiao. Until he fights a Welterweight, I ain't discussing his ass at 147.Comment

Now imagine being there live? I was and wasnt too far away either. The crowd wasnt completely PRO diaz either. There was more love for the hometown hero, but there was HUGE JMM support. That fight is honestly one of the best I've ever seen.
There wasn't a dull moment from start to finish, and the drama was spectactular.
Diaz was imposing his style on Juan Manuel early, and that had me nervous as all hell. (I'm a huge Marquez fan.)
I didn't think the old man could adapt and sustain that pace for long without having stamina issues.
But damn did he ever do just that.
By the time the 1st knockdown rolled around, I had already jumped out of my seat and started cheering like a raving lunatic.
It was off the hook though. Sooooo many fine hispanic honeys including my girlfriend too. I dont think I sat down for much of the fight.Comment

****, I've been a certified Marquez hugger for years and even I didn't know he was capable of that.
I actually had Casamayor ahead on points in the 'Casa/Marquez fight before Marquez stopped him.
I attributed that stoppage to 'Casa being older, and not able to hang with the Elites anymore.
But Marquez turned around and followed that one up with the brutal Diaz TKO.
Dude's even sicker than I had originally thought.Comment

I consider Marquez/Diaz to be essential viewing for anybody who wants to get involved in the fight game ; either as a fan, a writer, or a fighter.
It can go in the history books alongside some of the best fights of all time.Comment

Yeh man **** Clottey. Judah was exposing him when they fought but because Clottey always comes in on fight night weighing 160 his opponents have no chance.
Cotto-Mosley needs to happen by the end of the year, depending on whether he beats Clottey.
With regards to Floyd, i see him fighting both Cotto and Mosley. Richard Schaffaer said he'd signed a 5 fight deal. So Mosley and Cotto must be in this deal.Comment
