nah he wasn't ranked at ww before the fight.

    only briefly after the fight.

Yes, I did hear that. And that ranking disappeared after the Hatton fight. Oh well (maybe he`s campaigning at 140, not ww anymore).

it might have been a compromise between the 2 but it was still fought at the welterweight limit.

catchweight to me is a limit between divisions like if cotto and pac fight at a weight limit of say 144.

It was catch weight either way you chop it. Both Pacquiao and Del la hoya where fighting out of there weight classes and both sides agreed upon WW being the catch weight at witch the fight took place. As I seem to remeber Osacr hardly look like a super WW at 144 IBS (I think it was). Manny was more of a super WW then Oscar was on that night.

Same thing as above. Only difference is he's not jumping 2 weight classes.

          nah......

          147 limit is welterweight.

i see it as one guy moving down and one guy moving up to fight at welterweight limit.

catchweight is a fight whose limit is in between divisions.

I agree w/ incredible, but I don't think its fruitful to argue over semantics.

cant really say he hasnt fought anyone at that weight that means anything.
i wouldnt even bother until i saw him fight someone at the limit that actually is a player at the weight
