Dawson needs to rematch Johnson and beat him convincingly this time which I'm skeptical of. And didn't you hear me say earlier in my post that it's that Hopkins-Dawson is the right fight for weight division lineage? I'm gonna leave it at that.
I don't agree that he'd get little credit but fair enough about the money side. I agree that Dawson should be rematching Johnson - I don't know what he's playing at, it's the obvious fight for him - instead of which he's been calling out Super Middleweights, which is ridiculous.

Here's a video of your boy Cunningham getting knocked down 3 times by Adamek.

Popkins should retire, adamek would kill him, kessler and froch would both beat him as well, old man popkins should fcuk off an retire before he gets killed.

You must be a Chad fan that's objective. Cotto's fans are more fanatical than the Dawson fans are, but the funny thing is I'm still mad at Dawson for hangin Glen out to dry. But I'm still happy that him and Shaw are considering rematching Johnson, so that's a good thing. I just think that if Hopkins wants to fight Adamek he should go for it and not worry about these people who have such a high opinion of Chad. B-Hop has been there and done that with Pavlik and he's already became the man at 175 regardless of how overrated Tarver is. He beat him more impressively than Dawson did in my view.

Yeah, that fight was won decisively by Adamek. Knockdowns are a big part of scoring in boxing. End of story. A rematch would be another action fight probably, but not necessary to determine superiority.

It was a FOTY candidate, so what's your point? Wlad got knocked down three times by Peter, but still won. Marquez got knocked down three times in his first fight with Pac and still got a draw. Less of the hate, all real boxing fans would love to see a rematch.

It was a split decision, and many analysts and many in the crowd were also split. Cunningham was the one who was knocked down, but he had Adamek in trouble several times as well. It is certainly not a foregone conclusion that Adamek would win a rematch.

Fair opinion. I just think that Adamek may have other options. It's kind of similar to the Chad-Glen situation, so I don't want to use double standards, but the difference is the winner in the Adamek-Cunningham fight did the actual damage.

Mark vester is obiously a chad dawson fan pushing for a b-hop vs dawson fight, i guess he forgot that chad has un finished buissiness with glen johnson. I think hopkins vs adamek is more intriguing if he does well and beats up adamek, we could probably see hopkings fighting at heavyweight, i know i know, it sounds crazy but hey, if anybody can do it, its got to be him.

No he was making the point that because Hopkins priced himself out of an Adamek fight this year, he won't be able to get one now until 2010, and asked: can he really afford to stay inactive for that long at his age? Which is a valid question. And Dawson may have unfinished business with Johnson, but Hopkins also has unfinished business with Dawson, because they are the no. 1 and no. 2 Light Heavyweights, and the top contenders should be fighting each other for a lineal title. The only valid argument against that is that at his age, Hopkins has the right to fight whoever the hell he likes, and if there isn't enough money in a Dawson fight to tempt him, fair enough. But he has unfinished business with Dawson just as much as Dawson has with Johnson.
