everybody knows that. cotto has still faced better competition on 140-147

i agree, but there's no point in you or anyone crediting hatton for that fight, unless you think he didn't lose it

But you can't tell me that Beating:

          Gatti - SHOT TO HELL!
          Baldomir - Dead ass SLOW!..
De la Hoya - Shot but credit to it was at 154..but it was SD!..

          is more impressive than beating

Kelson Pinto - Undefeated Power Puncher
Carlos Quintana - Undefeated slick and fast boxer and his FIRST at 147!.
Michael Jennings- 32-1..WEAK!..but Cotto made ALL of these LOOK EASY!...

          ???????????

Now I'm not saying that Cotto fought THE GREATEST for his belts!..but they were in much better CONDITION then when Mayweather fought those guys!..100%!!..

Who cares if he hasn't beat a champ for his belt?..Every time he has a chance to unify the opposition gets stripped!!...and the main chance he had was to fight Paul Williams..and I'm sorry but everyone knows that this is business more than glory for these guys..and coming off a Brutal 11 rd fight/TKO against Margarito..a comeback fight with Williams would be IDIOTIC!..

Now Cotto has backed down from NOBODY!..and has fought in his last 5 fights (including Clottey) 3 very avoided fighters in Margarito, Mosley, and Clottey!!..so you tellin me he doesn't deserve a Jennings or a Gomez in between??..Come on man!..open your eyes EVERYONE!..

Cotto wants the BEST fights even if they aren't the BIGGEST!..who would have thought Clottey-Cotto would be this big a DRAW?!..NOBODY!..and of course he does that in NY..who sells out in places other than their backyard?!..Mayweather-Vegas (with the help of GREAT drawing opposition)..DLH-Vegas/Cali..Mosley-Cali..Margarito- Cali etc..

Let's stop being biased ALL the time...and be realistic..Cotto has shown MUCH more Balls than Mayweather!..MUCH MORE!..don't let Mayweather's "achievements" fool you!..He's coming back to fight a LW and making him go up to 144!!..that should show you..that he won't fight a LEGIT Welterweight but won't go down to ATLEAST 140!..PATHETIC!..
My bad..I put positions instead of condition..

Who do you think the ref for the fight is gonna be Grustler? I directed this question to the hardcore Cotto fans, but the post got lost in the pissing contest that some dude was engaging with you about. I think the refree and judges could play a big factor in making this fight end up in Cotto's favor like they did in his fight with Shane.

Boxing and just because I don't agree on everything everyone
says about Floyd don't make me defending him and Cotto I do
give him props but not totally sold on him so what? Am I supposed
to like everybody because YOU or anyone else do? I read more
Floyd bashing on here than people defending him. Some of you
guys have the nerve to get mad at people for liking Floyd or
even taking up for him. Also I read more name calling, cursing
and character bashing on here by people that don't like Floyd
on people that do like him. When have I ever called a Cotto
or any other fan a nuthugger, **** licker, or anything like that?
Come on man go ahead with that.
Im not talkin about callin anybody names, though they do that when its excessive and its obvious when people are up on a fighters like they are all that when obviously they are not because of obvious reasons. What if Cotto KO's Mayweather or wins by Unanimous obvious decision? Whats your takes on Cotto after that?

If Cotto was to beat Floyd I would give him the utmost respect.
Even if cotto beats Clottey (CONVINCINGLY) I will give him his
                due props for sure.

He sees that fight as a tune-up after a long break - judge him on who he fights after that, not on that fight, or it's you who is being very biased.

And although many of his fans keep saying he could still make 140, he himself has never made that claim, only his fans have; and if he doesn't think he can make the weight without being weight drained, then he shouldn't try to do so. But his fans should stop pretending that he isn't a natural Welterweight, because he clearly thinks he is.

So cuz it's a "tune-up" he has to put his opponent in this kind of disadvantage??..

Why not fight Collazo, Berto, or even Quintana!..he's a Welterweight..why isn't he fighting there..with a WELTERWEIGHT!..is that an unfair task or a disadvantage for him?..

Marquez is a much bigger fight than any of them, because he's P4P #2, he was planning to move to 140 in any case, and he wants to fight Mayweather, so it's not unfair to Marquez at all, because he sees it as his big chance. Of course it would have been a lot more legitimate for Mayweather's résumé if he could have got down to 140, but if he doesn't think he can without being weight drained, then it would be wrong for him to try - just as Cotto is right to say no to fighting Pac below 145.
