Teenage white kids need some boxers to look up to, guys like Kelly Pavlik who give hope to a Youngstown community in bad economic times. Other than Pavlik there is no one else to look up to. White youths have all those white UFC fighters and can relate to them. They in a way can associate with those fighters and where they came from. That is something they cannot do with hispanic or european fighters who dont speak english.Comment

when does the color of ones skin dictate who becomes a champion or not... You look up to being a champion ... not being a color of a champion... Im finding it hard to not disrespect the thread starter so i will end it hear with shaking my head!Comment

White kids have looked up to Jordan, Kobe, Tiger Woods, Ali, Joe Louis, Ronaldo {Brazil}, Ronaldinho, Cheech and Chong, Bruce Lee, etc.
I think they will be fine.
Here is something: Look up to Character.
They always can look up to another Human Being.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 05-21-2009, 03:43 PM.Comment

it doesnt matter to me if a fighter is white or black :S if i aspire to a fighter, its because i think hes a good fighter, not because hes whiteComment
