  • Who gave a **** about Pac-Cotto anyways??? Pacquiao-Mayweather is what we want to see. plus Cotto needs to fight Mosley again, why fight Pac anyways? Yeah the money is good, but Cotto-Mosley II in LA or Vegas is fat cash, espcially if Cotto beats Clottey. NO MORE DUCKING ARUM!!! Time to face Mayweather!!

      • I honestly don't care for this fight. Pac gets nothin' but praise from me but Pac-nation plays up his victory @147. Both Manny and Roach know that they didn't come to 147 and beat a legit WW, Oscar on that night would have been put to sleep by any of the top three WW's. **** all this catchweight business, Cotto has a few looks out there i.e. Mosley, Berto, Clottey, Ortiz will move up in time and maybe some day we'll get to see Pwill vs Cotto. Manny has some dangerous JR WW's to contend with if thats where he plans on making his stand so why try and fight people at imaginary weight divisions? JMM and Mayweather ought to be on his short list, but all I want to see is the trilogy between him and JMM.

If he doesn't want to fight Cotto he should tell his advisers to stop calling for a Cotto fight. If he does want to fight Cotto, it should be at 147.
Well if he has a mind of his own then I guess his handlers have one as well right? You seriously expect him to say " Psst hey Freddie, chill out on calling out Cotto would ya? I'm a lilttle worried about fighting him..." ?

Freddie and Arum are gonna do what they're gonna do. Whether its to lay foundation for a potentially big bout or to gain leverage in negotiating with another fighter, that's up to the handlers how to handle their business. However, whatever they do shouldn't be reflective of their fighter's character.

If Pac wants to fight Cotto, then ya he should fight at 147. But if IT'S COTTO who wants to fight him, then Cotto needs to come down plain and simple. At this point, Pac's the hot item.

Note: By saying he would come down to 145, he's calling him out.

          • Finally a fighter thinks before they act..
U only hav to look at how shot delahoya was at 147 losing weight he couldn afford to..
Cotto has loads of options at 147 and above.
Why let pacman dictate terms to him..

No he's responding to being called out.

And the idea that if your employees say something on your behalf, you have no responsibility for what they said, is ridiculous. If Pac doesn't want his advisers and promoter to call out Cotto on his behalf he should just put a stop to it, they are his employees.

Cotto had a hard time makeing 140 last time that is a FACT . Cotto is a true 147 pound fighter for him to go down to 142 he has to lose muscle not fat Freddy and Pac knows this so Manny the no nuts coward you hero wants to fight a weight drain Cotto which is bull**** for all the real fans not the nuthuggers
the fight with JMM and PBF its fair for both fighter ,JMM is the one steping up to fight the big boys at there best and for that many guys give mad props to JMM on boxingscene unlike the Cotto fight (if it happens at 142)one fighter will be at there best while the other will be weight drain = bull**** for the real boxing fans for the nuthuggers = Pac is a atg

Solo20, You're a proven Pac-hater and JMM nuthugger. You're just riding the issue of cotto/pac.

But then, if you think cotto is brave enough, why can't you call him to fight Pavlik at catch weight?

                  • Forget all the catch weight. If your knocking at a man's door for a mega fight consider it at that weight. If pac wants to make history go to 147.If not move on.Cotto has many options be he's not ******.As of with mosley,he had his chance. The fight would be interesting but cotto doesnt have the need to fight him.He got out boxed but no beat up.In boxing you don't get many 2nd chances.Do or die.And Mosley lost.

are you nuts? Promoter has never been an employee ever since. They're both on equal footing. Promoters are just trying to fish something before the deal.
