    Miguel Cotto estaría dispuesto a un futuro pleito con el filipino Manny Pacquiao, pero bajo ciertas condiciones.

    “Ni una libra menos de las 145”, aseguró ayer el propio púgil vía telefónica desde Tampa, Florida, ciudad en donde entrena para su venidero compromiso con Joshua Clottey.

    “No estoy dispuesto a pelear (con Pacquiao) por debajo de las 145 libras ”, agregó.

    Dicho peso está muy encima de las 142 libras que Pacquiao desea para enfrentar ya sea a Cotto, Shane Mosley o a Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

    De hecho, Cotto sostuvo que no arriesgará su salud con tal de hacer el millonario pleito.

    El criollo ha sido mencionado entre los candidatos para hacerle frente a Pacquiao desde el momento en que el filipino aniquiló al británico Ricky Hatton en dos asaltos el pasado 2 de mayo.

    Sin embargo, el criollo enfatizó que está centrado en Clottey y no pensando en Pacquiao.

    “He trabajado duro por las pasadas semanas con el fin de obtener una victoria el 13 de junio frente a Clottey. Esa noche se sabrá quién es el mejor de los dos”, indicó Cotto, quien expone el cetro wélter (147 libras) de la Organización Mundial de Boxeo (OMB).

    Desde el pasado domingo, Miguel Cotto ha observado un rostro familiar por los alrededores del gimnasio: su progenitora Juana.

    “Estar lejos de Puerto Rico no es placentero, pero ver la cara de mami ha sido bueno para salir de la rutina”, compartió el monarca que permanecerá en Tampa hasta el 5 de junio.

    Miguel Cotto is ready for a future lfight with filipino Manny Pacquiao, but under certain conditions.

    "No lower than 145 pounds," the boxer said yesterday by telephone from Tampa, Florida, a city where trains coming to its commitment to Joshua Clottey.

    "Being away from Puerto Rico is not pleasant, but to see Mom's face was good to get out of the rut", shared the king to remain in Tampa until June 5.

          he'll probly come in at 145 at the clottey weigh in...so basically it'd be another welterweight fight for Cotto if he fights Pacquiao..
