Cotto Refuses To Fight Pacquiao Below 145-Pounds

At this point in his career, moving down less that 145 could be detrimental. Besides, there are plenty of quality welterweight bouts to be made. Mosley rematch is the likey fight after Cotto loses to Clottey.

I wish Clottey could pull it out but he won't finish Cotto after having him hurt. These matchups are well studied to fool us into thinking a fighter is great when he's really not. Matching Cotto with Clottey is a good way to boost up Cotto's resume and still being sure Cotto will win. Reasons: Clottey is not active enough or has enough power to win either by points or KO. The only way Clottey can win this is a ONE PUNCH KO in which the ref doesn't even bother to count. On the other hand the signs for Cotto's decay are well present in his fight with Jennings. Cotto always looked a bit chinny but he should have looked allot better vs Jennings the same way Hatton should have looked allot better vs Mallignaggi or Lazcano (more so in the Lazcano fight)

Yes Pacquiao at this time is the man, he's the #1 draw...He has all the options he could get being the current P4P King, being the first boxer in history to become the lineal champion in four different weight divisions & second only to Oscar as champion in six different weight divisions...if he wants to become the first boxer to be champion in seven weight division then he has the option to fight Cotto in 147 lbs but if he feels comfortable at 140 lbs then no problem...resume that makes us think/rate where he stands among the All Time Greats, so there's nothing to prove what else could he asks to add another record breaker performance which he always displayed to entertain people in a brutal fashion...for me he's synonym to the term P4P in w/c the boxing world originally rewarded to Sugar Ray Robinson & we're lucky that we're witnessing & living w/ what we haven't seen before w/ the likes of Robinson, Armstrong, etc...so nobody right now could force him what to do but instead to wait & think what is comfortable for him & I believe Roach knows better what could be good for Manny right now...

Pacquiao will meet Cotto or GayWeather at 144lbs. It's a better match-up at this weight. At 142lbs, it's given that these two will get their ass dump. Maybe 145lbs for Cotto's Belt.

Pacman needs to fight Marquez again or fight any top welterweight at a reasonable weight. Right now he's just treading water, getting paid, fighting shriveled up guys. If he kills Marquez he earns his pfp status, if he kills the real welterweights he earns genuine ATG status.

Let's just wait.....there are many match-up's for Pacquiao down the line - Gayweather, Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Valero, Guzrun, Bradley, etc. .... Marquez had his 2 chances, he should fall back down the line and wait his turn again........
