Cotto Refuses To Fight Pacquiao Below 145-Pounds

No one should be weight drained, it makes a mockery of boxing. We have more than enough weight divisions as it is. The only reason it made sense for Mayweather to fight at catchweight was because his fans keep claiming that Floyd is a natural Jnr Welterweight. Clearly Floyd disagrees with his fans and thinks he'd be weight drained at catchweight, which is fair enough, but in that case he should be fighting a Welterweight and should not be fighting Marquez. Cotto's fans on the other hand have never claimed he's a natural Jnr Welterweight, and it would be a farce if he fought at catchweight. Pac should fight Marquez, or move up to 147 if he really wants to fight a Welterweight.

Cotto should stick to 145 and not budge 1lb. Same with Mosely. These guys have big fights at 147, they don't need Pacquiao if he's gonna cheat his way to a victory again. Who is Pacquiao gonna face if Mayweather, Mosley, Cotto all refuse to fight him below 145? He sure as hell won't be getting the big fights besides a rematch with JMM. At least JMM has the balls to fight a WW at WW and he's not as adaptable weight-wise as Pac.

3 years ago, if you suggest this fight people would have straight up laughed at you. Why? Because it would have been ridiculous and it still is. They are not the same size. To make fights happen with such size discrepancy, you need a catchweight to level the field. The same reason Pac went up 2 weight divisions and jumped 12 pounds after he had one measly fight at 135. A fight people spat at when it was announced.

Pac fighting at 140 is a marvel. Pac fighting at 147 is flat out ridiculous.

Ok, first of all do you have a link where Pac called out a fighter? No. You know why? Because he NEVER does. Every single time he's asked who do you want to face, he says "it's up to his promoter" and that he's just "a fighter doing his job".

To add, asking a fighter to fight a hell of a lot higher than their natural weight is dangerous. If you don't want to level the playing field, then don't call out fighters smaller than you.
