therefore a catchweight of 142 lbs is justified to equalize the weight advantage cotto has.

in other words, yes it is fair.

      just answer this question:

pac officially weighed 138 lbs to fight hatton. when was the last time cotto officially weighed 138 lbs???!!!

if cotto can officially get down to 38 lbs its a fair fight. if cotto can't officially get down to 38 lbs its not a fair fight. if it's not a fair fight, then there needs to be some way to equalize cotto's weight advantage on fight night and that is the catchweight.

      comprende???
get the f**k out of here funny how other ATG fighter didnt fight weight drain shot fighter when moveing up in weight classes but Manny is special in your eyes huh i bet you got a picture frame of Pac nuts on your wall

he is a Full Blown WW Comprende?

Manny Paquiao is trying to be an ATG and cement his p4p status by moving up and fighting bigger men...like all the other all time great and p4p best have done through out history...
roach says pac is comfy at 140 lbs... its guys like you that keep saying pac wants to move up to 147 lbs. roach has no intention for pac to fight at 147 lbs. pac only weighed 142 lbs against delahoya

        comprende???!!!!
except his trying to do it by manipulating the scales and fighting unhealthy weight drained dehydrated shells comprende?

        it's a ***** move comprende?
the ***** move is WWs trying to beat up on jr WWs.

tell cotto to fight WWs instead of picking on jr WWs!!!

        COMPRENDE???

Top Rank promotes both fighters and wants to match them at the end of year. Cotto still has to get past Joshua Clottey on June 13 at New York's Madison Square Garden. [details]
Good for Cotto. Will he stand firm and not be tempted by the $$$?

                  He should concentrate on Clottey.

all you got to know is that cotto is a MW on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. that just goes to show that cotto has a big weight advantage and the only way to equalize that weight advantage is for there to be an official catchweight of 142 lbs.
Even if he drops to 142 which is a big mistake he's still gonna rehidrate alot , and even if they try to control the fight night weight i doubt he'll pass with flying colors so whats the other option?
