pffft.... pwill wouldn't have a chance against most of the people on that list. And with really no explanation needed.

PAUL WILLIAMS calls out the entire SUPERMIDDLE weight division, who will accept?

i dont think any of the champs (kess, froch, bute) would accept a fight with a williams. i think they see him as high risk and low reward, if williams wants to get a match up with either of them they will ask williams to establish himself at the weight first. they won't want to risk losing against someone who has never faced anyone at SMW.
imo williams should aim for the bracket of fighters below these guys. bika, lacy, miranda, greene maybe ward. right now i see ward and miranda fights not happening, wards people wont want to risk him and miranda will be looking to get a few wins under his belt following the loss.
lacy looks as though hes going to be taking on RJJ - so thats a miss. personally i think williams's movement and volume would be too much for lacy again and he would suffer another calzaghe-esque beat down.
greene is really hard to negotiate with at the table and constantly prices himself out of fights. but williams is a fighter who wants to fight and he may be willing to make sacrifices.
bika is the fight that i see happening though, he holds the IBO title and is desperate for some US coverage. i think bika could be a tough fight for williams, hes strong as strong as anyone else in the division, has a good chin and hits like a mule with. his wide punches to the body may catch/hurt williams.

I know williams is a freak but dont you think the weight would be too much for him to handle at 168?
Paul Williams has fast become one of my favorite fighters. He isn't only chasing a decent payday, he actually wants the toughest fights. Gotta respect a guy like that.

A guy moving up 1 or 2 weight classes doesnt automatically mean he is gonna be in trouble, as proven by guys like Mayweather and Toney, because if your not getting hit clean, its less of a problem.
Kessler isnt a high output fighter, not a fighter who tends to walkthrough punches, nor is he a fighter who uses lots of angles nor is he a great lateral mover, thus I can see why Williams has a good chance against him. If he holds a high guard and overhwelms him with punch output.
Kessler will ****ing jab him to death and finally knock his head offLast edited by jangeorg; 05-19-2009, 05:30 AM.

You would alway have a chance when you are a boxer with such a high output like Williams but if he gets hit like he alway does then he would be discourage, Which would make him throw less punches and trust me if most of the Supermiddle weight land on him he would either get put on his bum or he would get KO.
He was able to throw alot of punches against Winky because he didnt respect winky's power even when tagged by him but i doubt he could do that against the natural bigger men.

Secondly, winky was hitting williams with the odd hook inside and out, plus the occasional angle. Kessler is jab-right hand guy to the bone, his lack of variety gives williams a chance against him.Last edited by Technical_Skill; 05-19-2009, 05:45 AM.
