Pacquiao wins by 6th-7th round TKO.

It would of been a much tougher fight for him though.

Seriously Campbell the veteran gave Diaz all he can handle what more a top fighter like Marquez. Marquez was suppose to win.
Diaz came in to that fight with a very good gameplan. He knew he wasn't going to outbox Marquez so he did what he does best..... and thats pressure fighting. His gameplan for Marquez was far superior than the one he planned for Campbell.

He came out forced Marquez to the ropes, threw plenty of shots. Diaz rocking Marquez isn't a surprise really, Diaz is a big lightweight who has power even if his record doesn't suggest it. Marquez is a small lightweight so expecting him to keep Diaz off him the whole fight is expecting a bit much.

Marquez did a great job of fighting off the ropes, withstanding Diaz's big blows and coming back with his own shots. Marquez was able to keep pace with a younger Diaz and then take him out late on.

Both guys fought one hell of a fight.

Juan Diaz was offered a unification fight with David Diaz with the winner becoming the only truly undisputed champion to hold all 4 major belts in a weight division since Bernard Hopkins and securing a Pacquiao fight when he moved up to lightweight.

But Juan Diaz ducked the **** out of David Diaz and opted for an optional title defense against journeyman Nate Campbell. Lotta good that decision did for him.

David Diaz should be happy that didn't happen. Not only would he not of got a good payday from Pacquiao but Juan would of dished out a ass whooping.

If Pacquiao fought Juan Diaz instead and fought the way he did with David Diaz, it would be a brutal KO in the early rounds. The explanation would be obvious.

I dont think so. I've always favored David Diaz over Juan Diaz. Juan has always been the most overrated fighter of the last 3 years in my opinion.

Overated ?? I don't see anyone overating him around here. If anything he is underated. He just gave a p4p number 2 in Marquez a very tough and good fight and he got no praise for it.

Juan has good skills, solid chin, high workrate, good jab, decent footwork and throw good combinations.

David Diaz is a slow one dimensional pressure fighter who struggled to beat a shot Morales.

Juan would beat him the same way he beat Katsidis.
