Ahh yes...he landed a great right hand during a break against the faded Reid. I remember that fight...in fact, I remember most of Lacy's fights before Joe and was never, ever enthralled. The proof is in the pudding...Reid's about the best win he's got.

      Sad...

Let's see...Sheika? No. Vanderpool? No. Williams? No. Please, someone help me out here.
I already said the hype was crazy and unjust. Lacy was never gonna be a great fighter but to say he didn't even look good is bull****. He didn't look bad demolishing Reid and Sandman just before Calzaghe. I know these guys were past their prime but Lacy still looked impressive. But like I say he was never gonna amount to anything great, he just wasn't the bum that people make him out to be now because he's struggling with cans. Look at his KO ratio before Calzaghe and the injury. Look at it after. It's 0% post-Calzaghe and he's been fighting bums. He's washed up.

He offered to fight these guys in America aswell so try again. He also offered to jump up to fight Jones at light-heavyweight but Jones was content fighting cans. Hopkins went on to fight Hakker after refusing a career high purse to fight Calzaghe.

How did he look impressive against those faded fighters? Seriously. Anyone who saw Syd Vanderpool have his way with Lacy - and Rubin Williams - before eventually succombing to his power culd see he was extremely overrated. Hell, even his power was overrated. Sorry dude, I'm not buying--and I never bought in.

Jeff Lacy is who he is. A decent pug.

Why do many Calzaghe supporters fabricate and sometimes outright lie when they try to defend him? As if people are just going to trust what they type and take it as fact. lol

They really should just quit. He was what he was, and he's retired.
