plus wasn't floyd injured in the 1st fight?
Nope. Very good fighter in his prime but ultimately came up short in most of his biggest fights like Emmanuel Steward said in the lead-up to his fight with Hatton.

Lightweight is far to tradition rich of a division.
Just off the top of my head.
        Ike Williams
        Joey Gans
        Roberto Duran
        Beau Jack
        Shane Mosley
        Carlos Ortiz
        Tony Canzoneri
(I am sure I have left out a ton of them, and the history buffs could add on)

          Floyd was injured.
In the rematch Floyd beat him.

I think the real lightweight ATG's would handle him with ease.

            No, nor is he close.

You can make a pretty good case that Casamayor beat him. I'm not saying he did (I didn't score it), but for all you hear about 'Castillo was robbed against Floyd', the Casa fight is worth mentioning.

The win over Corrales is seriously tainted by the weight issue.

              List of notable lightweight champions:

              Jack McAuliffe
              Joe Gans
              Battling Nelson
              Ad Wolgast
              Willie Ritchie
              Freddie Welsh
              Benny Leonard
              Sammy Mandell
              Tony Canzoneri
              Barney Ross
              Lou Ambers
              Henry Armstrong
              Sammy Angott
              Bob Montgomery
              Ike Williams
              Beau Jack
              Jimmy Carter
              Joe Brown
              Carlos Ortiz
              Ismael Laguna
              Ken Buchanan
              Roberto Duran
              Esteban DeJesus
              Alexis Arguello
              Edwin Rosario
              Hector Camacho
              Julio Cesar Chavez
              Pernell Whitaker
              Oscar De La Hoya
              Shane Mosley
              Floyd Mayweather

Castillo can be ranked above many of them based on the strength of his resume at the weight but I'm not sure where. I'd have to think about it.

Castillo was a very good Lightweight, but he wasn't superior to his peers in my opinion. I believe that he was defeated by Casamayor in their fight. I also believe Johnston edged him in their second fight. He had a good run from '00-'05, but he never showed himself to be consistently better than his opposition. He was just really good, like Corrales, Johnston, Casamayor, etc were at the time.

Good, not all-time great...although I may rate him at the low end of the top 20 all-time to fight at 135.
