Castillo can be ranked above many of them based on the strength of his resume at the weight but I'm not sure where. I'd have to think about it.
What really annoys me about you is sometimes you come into a thread and say what i was going to say and post what i was going to post. Im not boxing historian, but i know the lightweight/welter/middleweight divisions pretty well, and here you come pulling a thomas edison as usual. good work.
But to answer the question, castillo is definately an all time great as far as lightweight is concerned when you consider his run in the division and how almost all his fights in his prime were close, in some cases contraversial (mayweather/casamayor). He had a great run definately.Comment

He falls a little short in the ATG list, but at the end of the day, he was a bad mutherfarmer. Well respected, tuff SOB. El Temible, the feared one.Comment
