      i was just thinking about that. My question to you is, do you think its like that since Chavez did so much at 140?

        He wouldn't be high b/c his best wins are at 130 and 140 rather than 135, however it's not like De La Hoya did anything special at 135 either. Chavez was CLEARLY the better fighter at around that weight. De La Hoya can only claim superiority @ 147 and up.

          De La Hoya's Noteworthy LW Resume:
          Jorge Paez
          John John Molina
          Rafael Ruelas
          Genaro Hernandez
          Jesse James Leija

          OK, his LW resume is clearly better, but meh. John John beat his ass, Genaro was schooling him but had to quit cuz his pre-injured nose got broken to pieces, Paez was past his prime, and Ruelas and Leija were only second tier fighters anyways.

          Chavez resume at 130 and 140 should not be ignored for this IMO. The better fighters just happened to be there...
