Taking a knee and shaking your head at your corner is a definition of quitting IMO. Cotto may have lost that fight but he's better off now then Margarito.

I don't really blame Cotto for quitting. Having seen the photo of a bloody wrap on Margarito's hand, I'm fairly convinced he was using plaster in his gloves then, and probably has been for quite some time.

When some ******* cheats at the very top levels of this sport, to the extent he did, they deserved to be banned for life, rather than just a year, and every win they've had in the past should be called into question.

One of the things that really piss me off is his Cintron fights...kind of makes you wonder if Cintron would've been able to take those punches much better if they hadn't been filled with plaster. And Cotto has been in the ring with some big punchers before, but had never been beaten like that...

I hope the bastard never gets another fight.

exactly compa, if Tony's fists would of been filled with the holy plaster there would of been nothing left of Cotto's face than just a big empty hole.

Cotto did the exact right thing, considering the circumstances and what we know now about Margarito.

The person who was administering the precise and methodical beating was the one who broke down late? Doesn't make sense. You gotta conced that much.
Watch round 2 and tell me if Margarito didn't "buzz" him, all you Cotto huggers are nuts man, if the so called holy "plaster" theory is correct then why was Cotto hurt by a well placed body shot to the liver in round two and a busted nose and lip after round 2? I thought it took about 5-6 rounds for the holy "plaster" to get nice and hard? oh let me guess, this was some new bio-chemical holy plaster specially concocted by the master artisan of holy "plaster" Javier Capetillo M.D. in order to mutate and speed up the hardening process to end the fight early...gimme a ****in' break.

                  I agree...

I also think that Cotto doesn't give a flying **** if we think he quit or not...he is making millions...most of us won't make what he makes even if we saved every penny until we died.

How did he quit tho?..he didn't stay in his corner..on his stool..he didn't remain on his knee for the full 10 count..he was up on his feet!..and evangelista threw the towel in!..
