Ward couldn't even knockdown or stop a shot Miranda.

He didn't dominate him more then AA dominated Miranda in the rematch because Miranda only hit AA's gloves in the rematch. And then you leave out the fact that Ward fought like a coward by clinching even when he wasn't hurt and used clinching as a tactic as if this was wrestling or ufc.

Froch is another Miranda, just with a better chin.

froch has a SLIGHTLY better chin, less speed, less power and about equal boxing skills as Miranda.

Ward would have a field day with froch. I would say an early ko for Andre.

ward has smooth skills, his turning and deft footwork was nice and fluid and his punches are pretty quick and accurate

who knows how far he'll go because anything can happen but one thing is for sure, he has some serious boxing skills and a very good boxing IQ. he is very pleasant to watch.

I can see him and the dirrell brothers holding the top 3 spots in the smw divisiosn for a while but, as I said, anything can happen.

I agree that Miranda is shot to a degree, though I'd like to point two other things:

A) He isn't that shot physically like you may expect, but mentally. What Miranda had going for him was an indomitable will. He'd keep coming at you and you'd be KO'd sooner or later. The two defeats seemed to have shook his confidence and his bravado seems forced. He lacks the intensity, the passion, when he's actually in the ring.

B) Quite frankly, he was always Ricardo Mayorga plus ten or so pounds anyway. He was another in a ever growing line of unskilled Colombian power punchers. That formula seems to lead to initial success that fades very quickly.

How do you watch that fight and have such a negative impression of Ward? It was a good exciting fight and Ward dominated. He didn't have as much power as I thought he'd have, but he fought and landed more big punches. He also proved that he could take Miranda's shots, which should get people to finally shut up about the Darnell Boone fight.

exactly what I was thinking. I was expecting to come on here and see a bunch of threads of ppl praising ward's incredible boxing skills. but I'm not too surprised cuz it's a klitschko fan who made this thread and Klitschko fans are easily the least knowledgeable about boxing on this forum.
