Your trippin. Explain why Penalosa only got a shot when he was a grandpa. Why Manny Pacquiao was only a replacement for Ledwaba. Chris John was not known till he fought Marquez. Why is there more a buzz now that before about Filipino fighters with promoters doing mass signings rather than before. Proximity makes a difference and money talks.

Mexico has fighters to make money out of because they are across the border and millions in the U.S. for fans to buy tickets and ppv. They just recently discovered the filipino market in the u.s. You don't know much about business do you. If they can't make money on a fighter, no matter how good he is, no matter if he is the next best thing since Sugar ray robinson, he aint gonna get promoted or recognized. Mexico = customers across the boarder. Philippines = customers across the pacific. Pacquiao changed all that.

http://www.east sideboxing.com/news.php?p=15733&more=1 You don't know what your talking about bro and many more just like him, if not better, coming up the ranks on the high Pacquiao, Viloria, Penalosa, and donaire has provided. Pacquiao has a guy he does not want to name right now as a prospect in his promotion that he is very very high on. It is more like 3-5 years than 5-10
In 3-5 years there won't be much of "top" filipino fighters, I see Donaire being the next top Pinoy, the fact that they are getting any young guy that they think has the talent but sadly come up short, I said 5-10 years, because by then you guys have probably become a boxing hot bed and would have establish more gyms and given more pinoys the opportunity to become boxers, you are right Manny has open a **** load of doors for PI boxing, but it takes time to get several young prospect that have the potential to be great, Viloria had tons of potential, but fell short, as did Bautista, Concepcion and Banal, Donaire is 1 of the few that is reaching his potential he just needs to stay active, in 5-10 years you guys should have more "promising" prospects that will reach their potential and become world champs, now not saying our prospects are all good, like you said look what happened to Martinez and look what they are doing to Chavez Jr., again like you said we have the numbers and because of that we have several prospects and a higher chance of them reaching their potential.

Filipinos have been whooping on Africans for a long time yet it is just now they are getting noticed. What about it? You mention African fighters along with a cuban fighters who fought in different eras and areas. I can do the same for just the Philippines Alone; Espinosa, Navarette, Dodie boy Penalosa, , Pacquiao, Elorde. Does not change the fact that Mexicans have the closer proximity to Las Vegas on their side as well as numbers in the U.S. Learn how to reason without bias dude.
your a ***in idiot, he became a champion by fighting some japansese bum in 97'..

I notice mexican fight fans admit when their fighter is a bum. Filipino fight fans keep on hyping up their fighters.

What. Vasquez lost to bums before he became champ, Arce lost to bums before he became champ. Pacquiao lost to bums before he become champ. Pinoys are not like xcaret. Difference is you write of Filipinos after losing and Mexicans get a second chance. Take it from hector, talking mad bull then eating his words after dropping hyped fighters like a ton of bricks and calling them bums. He hyped Martinez up and talked mad crap, now he is a bum. He said that was the true world cup then now making excuses. You know whats up hecky. He has proven that Mexicans are the best at making excuses because they have had too against Pinoys. LOL
