Hatton is overrated and has lost his two biggest fights by nasty KOs. But to reduce him to gate keeper category will be close to impossible, he has a huge following and will continue to fight for titles, even if its just to exploit his fans. Think of him as the English Rocky Juarez.

for economic reasons, why not? It's guaranteed he make several million dollars from a farewell fight.

That's a bad comparison. At least Rocky has either given a good account of himself in his losses or came close to getting the victory. Hatton wasn't even competitive in his losses.

Its gota be hatton/witter. Witter has been a constant pain in rickys ass. What a farewell fight that would make and it is totally winnable plus it would attract alot of attention esp in the UK!

Hatton can make too much money to retire.

Strange it is... But i do agree with Haye on this point...

Hatton doesn`t have to retire... He can have a farewell fight in England... Or continue fighting lower opposition...

P.S. to those who think Hatton DID have a lot of punishment:
Ask yourself what is the worst thing to happen in the ring of the two: being hit with one clean punch, lose the consciousness and then wake up?
or being battered for numerous rounds, having your brain shook?

Juarez was never a lineal champ. Hatton was a lineal champ for nearly four years.
