That's the second time Golota has been robbed.

If Ruiz had no belt, no other heavyweights would want to fight him and King would be unable to market him as even Latino fans cant stand him. King can still get a Golota-Klitschko bout, with or without beating Ruiz. Golota told me that he never wanted to fight Ruiz, he was forced into the fight because the winner woule get the winner of Byrd-McCline.

How many times do you see a fighter not want to fight another fighter who who holds a recognized strap? The problem with Ruiz-Golota is that there were so many coin flip rounds that depending on what you like or what you were looking at, many rounds could have gone either way.

About 70% of the sites I went to had Golota up by 1-2 points or had the fight a draw. When you have a close fight like this fought at close range with the Ruiz hug and tug gameplan, many rounds will be so hard to score that judges will not know what to do. It's sad that none of those round were even rounds on any of the official cards, I had at least 2-3 rounds scored even because neither fighter did anything.

    Well said. I perfectly agree!!!

Don't you think Ruiz would have been in another title fight in 2005 even with an 'L' though? I agree fight fans don't dig Ruiz, but to suggest they needed a fix when there's 4 belts and King owns 3 is a stretch...

Possibly so, but any fighter would want to avoid fighting Ruiz as much as possible. RJJ abandoned his belt not to fight the Hugger for the second time, even though he made Ruiz look like a fool in their first fight.

I doubt there was a fix, but there was a considerable influence on who gets to judge the fight.

DK did not have to directly fix the fight, but he could influence the selection of refs and judges, especially since he promoted both fighters.

In his past two fights, Golota has shown no mental instablility. None. So stop it with the labeling. He's past it.

Ruiz is very tough in his mind, that is the only repect that we can give him.

I agree, but that's not what general perception is. Just recall how much fun Larry Merchant had before Golota/Ruiz fight. He enjoyed recalling the past, his quitting and hitting below the belt, and all the associated mental instability.

It does not matter what I think. What Larry thinks is far more important.

And you do not tell me what to say.
