That's the second time Golota has been robbed.

I do not think Golota's stock fell so much. He came out of nowehere to fight Byrd. Ruiz has a huge market among hispanic viewers. Mentally unstable foreigner Golota is much less marketable.

If Ruiz had lost, he could have asked to be ranked by the WBO who would have ranked him near the top and with Toney injured, a fight vs. Brewster would probably have been ok'd.

Ruiz vacated his IBF ranking; there's just a matter of paperwork to get the shot at Byrd.

Golota moves farther down the rankings and won't get a title shot anytime soon.

Exactly - that's why with a guy like that, you need a belt to sell his fight more. If you're gonna fix it, you put the belt on Golota and let Ruiz go after another or fight another big name opponent on a PPV card. Golota's next fight will be lucky to be televised.

Ruiz needs a belt to sell his fights. In any case, I will NEVER watch a fight with Ruiz again.

Ruiz has made 120 fouls (illegal "huggs") during the fight, and he was "thrown" on the canvas only because of his wrestling style. I wish Golota would just wrestle Ruiz to his defeat and pulled a ruiz on Ruiz.

The rabbit punching went both ways but it was not intentional in either case, I think.
You thought Golota. So did Rick Reeno and some others. I thought Ruiz. So did the dude with Stallone in his avatar. That's what I meant by "mixed", not that we all were conflicted in who we thought won.

That's not true. Ruiz's marketability is crap, even among hispanics. Golota would be much more profitable for King (just compare the ratings of Golota fights vs Ruiz fights for crying out loud), so any talk of a King conspiracy is nill. I didn't see Golota-Ruiz but from what I've read Golota did not clearly win (it seems like neither man did and a draw would've been suitable) and I remember people crying even more about the Byrd fight and i had Byrd winning that fight by 2 points . . .

WTF, you just said he was huge among the Hispanic market! Come on now, at least keep the same train of thought for an entire page on a thread!

Two out of three judges were hispanic, and they picked the Hugger to win.

Since Don King promotes both fighters, he was in charge of selecting the judges. If Don King wanted Golota to win, why would he select two biased referees that ended up giving an IMPOSSIBLE score of 114-111 to Ruiz?
