Arum says he wont do buisness with richard shaefer, mayweathers closest advisor and the guy who basically have HBOs ear moreso than anyone else.

then mayweather refuses to do buisness with arum and have him make any money off of him, and i think i have a feeling why, since mayweather had to spend years sitting behind guys like de la hoya and morales and then cotto even.

The more i think about it, i think about how margarito and cotto are both promoted by the same guy, along with pac, i think it will be difficult for all of those fights to be/or have been made. I think it will be a long time before we know anything definitive cuz right now its a whole lot of ****in talk and nothing else.
Floyd knows deep down that Arum would never in a million years pay him more than he would Manny. It is Floyd over valuing his worth that caused him to jump ship in the first place. He retired because Oscar would not offer him 30+ million to fight him again. It is Floyd that needs to come back down to earth because not every fight he will be in is going to be a huge money maker. The economy is **** right now on top of it.

Floyd is now self promoted. Why? Because he is too damn greedy and once again, after JMM he will not find an opponent, or promoter, willing to pay him 30-40 million that he will probably ask for to fight Manny.

Yes and then he changed his mind. His dedication in the end paid off for him. He'll be getting 20+ million for the Hatton fight and is probably very content. When GoldenBoy tried to steal him away, he was still early in his relationship with Bob and probably did not have a lot of money. The lure of money almost worked. He has money now though.

This isnt exactly a fair thing to say, do you think oscar overvalued his worth? Floyd is self promoted because he wanted to control his own destiny, MANY fighters leave promoters to do their own thing. You may say floyd over valued his worth but in the end he got the money and the fame he wanted that he wasnt going to get under arum. Not to mention, Arum wouldnt even let his other money fighters near mayweather until he left, when he posed that dubious 8million offer to margarito/mayweather. Even then to THIS DAY arum has never served up cotto, i dont care about the talk or heresay, not one single offer.

Floyd was easily the best fighter at top rank, and also arums top fighter for years and he was basically put on the backburner promotion wise and i think he just got tired of it.

Also, i think floyd doesnt have this huge over value like you say, he was reasonable with hatton, he was reasonable with de la hoya with the first fight and he was reasonable with golden boy and Jmm, i seriously think you are putting too much stock in what he says and not enough into what he actually does.

He had plenty of money at the time this happened. Oscar threw out an offer, manny liked it and accepted it. Roach himself said he liked oscars offer, Arum i think offered EVEN MORE money and manny stayed, it had less to do with any kind of loyalty and more to do with who was offering more. Oscar met with manny for lunch and he got swayed pretty easily. Manny was by no means broke at the time him and oscar met.

              wrong guy.

arum told floyd to go to shaefer and gbp because he won't deal with floyd's people.

i don't believe so because at least we saw great fights with DLH. every fight was great and not that pot shot fights we saw in a few of mayweather.

do u believe mayweather have the heart to trade punches against the top fighters?? DLH did so....trinidad,mosley,vargas, mayorga

don't think so. even calderon that don't have power likes to trades a few punches. and he's the purest boxer in the game right now

                    the fight is happening.

                    don't worry about it.

it's just regular bs back and forth to keep boxing writers busy.

floyd was suppose to sign with don king. arum told floyd he didn't want to deal with don and floyd's people that's why floyd is doing business with gbp instead.

arum prefers to deal with schaeffer than don king or floyd's boys.

this fight will happen next or maybe 1 fight more each before.
