Quintana IMO is a pure boxer, he out boxed Williams in their first fight and gave an unbeaten Joel Julio a boxing lesson also. On his best night, hes definitely a top welterweight. Cotto did more pressuring in that fight, although it was smart pressure and he mixed in boxing with it, and at the times he did box he was doing well. As for the Mosley fight, he boxed more than anything. Watch back at that first round. He catches Mosley coming in with some hard counter punches and even Emanuel Steward mentioned how he felt Mosley was surprised by Miguel's hand speed. The only reason why Mosley had the advantage late, was because Mosley is one of the best conditioned fighters in the sport and Cotto was fading. And even when Shane pressing the action, those rounds were still close because Cotto was fighting effectively backing up. It was the same thing with Judah. Judah did well early, but eventually Cotto figured him out and started landing his straight right hand at will and was walking Zab down. My point is that if he can do that to stronger, harder punching natural welterweights like Zab, Mosley and Quintana, why couldn't he do that against Pacquaio who is not only smaller but easier to hit than all of these fighters mentioned? Lets not let the Hatton and De La Hoya fight fool us, Manny is no boxer and at a tactical standpoint, Cotto will clearly have the edge.

Pacman is scared stiff of FloydIt's looking more and more likely that Floyd Mayweather Jr. [should he beat Juan Manuel Marquez] will have to wait until 2010 to get a crack at Manny Pacquiao. The Filipino icon's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, prefers WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto [also promoted by Top Rank]. Cotto faces Joshua Clottey on June 13 in New York's Madison Square Garden. Pacquiao plans to be at ringside. [details]Comment

All this talk of PAC but they are going to play the catchweight game 143!!! he is going to get hurt look what JMM did to him at a lower weight and if cotto was tagging mosley at a decent percentage, just imagine what he'll do to PAC!! he gained 1 pound for the fight with DLH. Cotto will easily rehydrate and weigh in at least 154 come fight night!Comment

if Floyd fought Jennings, he wouldve had 40k and the garden wouldv been a quarter fullOnce again where is Cotto support? How was his support in the Latin community when he fought the ever so touch Michael Jennings? Wasnt it like 200k buys? Anytime FMJ was on PPV his numbers at least doubled 200k. So again where is your proof? I dont see Vegas outbidding New York to get Cotto. What you fell to realize or admit to is, Floyd is in the driver seat. Didnt you notice how he made GBP make him the main promoter in the his fight with JMM? See if Cotto can pull that off.Comment

Pacquiao Is Afraid of Mayweather
Pacquiao is a manufactured fighter that's why he and his people don't want to fight Mayweather. They pick certain fighters. I'm positive he's taking steroids as well. Believe me Pacquiao will be exposed of the fraud fighter that he is once he steps into the ring with Floyd. Like John David Jackson said, he is afraid to fight black fighters and you will see when they fight.

They are going to make Money wait for a fight, funny. It does kind of look like Pac's camp is a little worried about a Money fight but Cotto is more of a threat to Pac than May is. Money will dance and run and slip punches but he does not hit as hard as Cotto does. I think Arum and Pac's manager are straight lost as to what direction to move Manny in.
I think he would make it a bad fight either way but at least with Money, it may at worst be a points loss- with Cotto, he could get ko'd (body punch)Comment

Thats funny..Floyd hasnt fought someone like Jennings or Gomez since his 1st pro year of boxing. But then again Floyd has never needed a confidence builder of a fight either..By the way over half of those PPV buys was for Pavlik.Comment
