They can fight Cotto before they go after Mayweather, That isnt a problem...its just great to have many different variety or scenario in boxing. I just hope Cotto isnt forced to come down in weight because he would get massacred like oscar.

          Cotto Beats Pac Man

Cotto is stronger and a smart fighter. He can beat Pacman based on the fact that he can box (did it against Mosley) and has a ton of power. Those body shots will land on Pacman and he will go night-night....no doubt.

miguel vs. manny makes for a better fight & each one is a warrior who duck no one,& both are champs. if floyd wants a shot he needs 2 challenge the likes of cotto, margarito or mosley. then he'll deserve the smaller man manny who 2 me is overachieving & doing a heck of a job. everyone wants him cause they all know that he who beats him will become a big star. cotto was robbed of becoming that star by margarito but everything comes full circle. he never complained about it & now he gets his shot once more. plus who the days of watching a coward chicken running around the ring for twelve rounds are over(camacho, leonard, whitaker, mayweather)we the hardcore fans want 2 see real fights with fighters that want to fight. that fight for glory like men & not like bitches. only ones complaining about this article are the nuthugging floyd fans..if u look at his record you can see hes never been tested(old ass de la hoya went 12 rounds with him),(baldomir please),(judah had to go 12 rounds with him),(hatton who never fought in the states until corrales who in my eyes beat him, his only 2 other us fights he got k.o'd only manny did it way sooner than floyd),(corrales who was a smaller overrated fighter),(gatti who was known for 2 fights against a nobody named ward).& these are all basically the big names in his resume. are you kidding me? very suspect when u consider how stacked the ww & jr. ww have been in the last couple of years with him not facing any of them. floyd picking on another smaller man on jmm dont prove **** but that hes always looking 4 the easy fight. u want a real fight pick on cotto,or mosley which u stated u had no interest in fighting even though he holds a title,or even margarito. if hes so good & claims 2 be the best why is he so shooked 2 fight these cats, ha? how can anyone even be a fan of a ***** in a mans sport? hate all uwant but cotto vs. manny is not just the right choice, its the perfect choice for most real fans....

On his best night, hes definitely a top welterweight. Cotto did more pressuring in that fight, although it was smart pressure and he mixed in boxing with it, and at the times he did box he was doing well. As for the Mosley fight, he boxed more than anything. Watch back at that first round. He catches Mosley coming in with some hard counter punches and even Emanuel Steward mentioned how he felt Mosley was surprised by Miguel's hand speed. The only reason why Mosley had the advantage late, was because Mosley is one of the best conditioned fighters in the sport and Cotto was fading. And even when Shane pressing the action, those rounds were still close because Cotto was fighting effectively backing up. It was the same thing with Judah. Judah did well early, but eventually Cotto figured him out and started landing his straight right hand at will and was walking Zab down. My point is that if he can do that to stronger, harder punching natural welterweights like Zab, Mosley and Quintana, why couldn't he do that against Pacquaio who is not only smaller but easier to hit than all of these fighters mentioned? Lets not let the Hatton and De La Hoya fight fool us, Manny is no boxer and at a tactical standpoint, Cotto will clearly have the edge.
Hmmmm. Yes Pacquiao can be easy to hit but that's "if he is there to hit", which Roach has been talking about religiously. Also I never called Pacquiao a boxer, I just feel Roach thinks he can pick Cotto off when he comes in, like Cotto did Margarito, which isn't boxing. Mosley loves a fight and is always there in front of you, so I guess you could argue that depending on how Pacman chooses to fight he is harder to hit. I would imagine Roach sees it going similarly to Cotto Margarito where Manny plays the role of Cotto and doesn't gas and Cotto will take the punches worse than Margarito. I'm not calling Cotto as one dimensional as Margarito by the way.

Yes Zab has one power punch, the left uppercut, and it carries some power but I guess you could argue Pac has more power and more speed, leading to harder punches for a fighter to take. Speed kills. But I take your point about him taking welterweights power and that he should be able to take Pacquiao's. I just think with the blinding speed and the variety of punches Pac lands they will be harder to take than people think. Also, with Judah, you can't land a left uppercut that often. Judah fought a lot more than people expected and was praised for his bravery, Pacquiao isn't going to do that. As Roach says "in and out" and when you feel your back on the ropes move straight away.
                      Mosley isn't hard to hit.
