You're tripping if you think he even wobbles Morales in his prime. We're talking about one of the best chins of all time, here.
But I could see a close decision for Marquez. Man, it's such a tough fight to call. It pains me to root against JMM but I would definitely be for Morales had that fight ever happened.Comment

it's between morales and barrera.
marquez's skill is up there with them but is way behind in terms of resume even with his great wins lately.Comment

I might be trippin' a bit. I love JMM that much. But EM is a very close second. I was at the first Packy fight and I became a lifetime devotee of the guy. You're tripping if you think he even wobbles Morales in his prime. We're talking about one of the best chins of all time, here.

I just see JMM's intelligence and precision countering carrying the day. With pinpoint shots like that you never know, even Terribles chin can betray him. JMM wobbled Packy badly so I know he can pop.Comment

Pacquiao? Ok, I get the political statement you're making there and I respect it, but come on. A win is a win. Not hypothetical, you know? Also- Casa and MAB shouldn't rank too highly for him. Those were guys at the end of the road.Been watching boxing since 95'. And natural talent is what the poll is. Resume's are not indicative because not everyone has the same matchmaker. Top Rank totally ignored both Marquez bros. while they were there and its not fair to judge them because of that.
Besides JMM's wins against Packy, Diaz, Barrera and Casa make up for lost time.
I would say that his win over Diaz was one of his best ever, though. He aged much better than Barerra and Morales because of his style. He didn't take years off of his career by engaging in outrageous wars like the other two- minus a fight or two. And while I credit him for being so dominant throughout his career, you can't blame me for favoring him less if I like the other two for the great wars they showed us. That kind of thing factors in very much for me when I rate a fighter.Comment

That twelfth round? My favorite round in a boxing match ever. When he turned southpaw and went at it with Manny, he became immortal in my eyes. I get goosebumps every time I watch that round.I might be trippin' a bit. I love JMM that much. But EM is a very close second. I was at the first Packy fight and I became a lifetime devotee of the guy.
