That is true, Emmanuel Stewart told Hamed to stay the **** away from Marquez.

Earlier in their careers it was Morales who avoided JMM.

And it was Hamed who avoided JMM like the plague.

This stuff is pretty well known, Hbo says it all the time, I'm surprised you're writing this.
by hbo you mean jmm cumguzzler max kellerman?

that dude doesn't like pacquiao for some reason. while everyone concedes pac is #1 p4p atm that **** still insists or brings up the fact that jmm should be.

jmm was offered a morales fight. he turned it down. that's how manny got the morales fight.

jmm was offered a hamed fight as well. one which he also turned down.

i'm tired of all this talk of everyone avoiding jmm and ducking jmm and for some reason that proves he was better.

Its all true. Kellermans not the only one. Everyone except you seems to know it. Its common knowledge in boxing.

I was going to respectfully disagree, but that "maybe a stoppage" comment tells me you don't know **** about Erik Morales. Prime Morales had an iron chin with a steel heart to match and skills. 3 close fights with better versions of Barrera than the one that gave Marquez a run for his money, but "JMM is just too skilled for him". Lol.

Marquez has a huge heart too so it would have been a great fight that Morales would have found a way to win. Go watch a past it Morales clearly put the beats on Pacquiao without getting knocked down in the process.

barrera was at 126 from 2001-2004.

morales was at 126 from 2000-2003.

barrera's last fight at 126 was at the beginning of 2004. his fight right after the pacquiao loss.

morales' last fight at 126 was in the middle of 2003.

marquez didn't win his first belt at 126 'til he won the vacant title in 2003 against manuel medina.

while marquez was ranked at 126 for a few years he was never at the top of the list.

in fact marquez didn't become one of the top guys in the division 'til morales had already left and barrera had already lost to pacquiao.

              look it up.

saying morales and barrera ducked marquez at 126 would be like saying marquez and pacquiao ducked guzman at 130. yes guzman was ranked at 130 but he didn't become top ranked at 130 'til after marquez and pacquiao and them left the division.

Morales has been stopped and dropped already. He had a good chin but was buzzed badly many times by lesser punchers than Packy. Thinking that a precision puncher like Marquez couldve caught him with something big isnt a reach.
I know plenty of "****" about Morales. I've sat in the front rows of his fights. JMM is simply more naturally gifted with a heart just as big as EM.
You put too much emphasis on knockdowns.

Of course he wasnt in the picture. Everyone ducked him. Ask Emmanuel Steward, he always talks about it.
They can no longer duck him. Its his time.

marquez's biggest wins at 126 was gainer and medina.

both gainer and medina was in 2003.

the first time jmm had a title was also that year.

by mid 2003 erik had already moved up to 130 and barrera was about to lose to pacquiao and move up to 130 as well.

morales and barrera ducked no one.

I dont see why Manny Steward would make it up. I've heard Arum, Kellerman, Merchant, and other reporters all say the same thing. Steward even admitted that Hamed avoided him.
This also explains why it took him longer to get noticed. Hard to get noticed when the "names" avoid you.
JMM was the Paul Williams of the division. High risk, low reward.
