    I agree.

HBO seems to lack the good sense to do something like that though.

Of course, those are great fights for a guy coming up. Those fights would get him a title shot next year, but still Shaun George would like to play

Erdei and Garay have never been on US TV as far as I know, and show no signs of wanting to change that.

Diaconu and Cloud are entertaining, but haven't proven enough to be considered top quality opposition.

The division may produce some good fights and maybe some of the guys are better than their resumes indicate, but at the moment there's not much to get excited about.

When most of the top guys in a division are old men, that's a good sign that it's not that hot.

not if HBO is willing to back it up. Dawson would certainly make more then the fights he made against Antonio Tarver.

If Dawson vs Johnson II happens there would certainly be more people in attendance compared to Dawson's fights against Tarver. So money isn't an issue. If Dawson wants to prove he's the best in the LHW division, he'll have to clear any doubts that he is.

But it's not a dead division though, it just doesn't get the exposure compared to other divisions, and I blame that on the networks. Nathan Cleverly, Shaun George, are good upcoming prospects.

Tavoris Cloud - big puncher, hasn't proven much, but better then your typical mandatory.
Jean Pascal - moved up from SMW, gave Carl Froch a tough fight
Zsolt Erdei - I don't want to include his name because he's a joke, but he does have wins over Hugo Garay, which were really close fights.
its not dead, but looks boring
